    1.  Altar
      1. Exodus 40:10, “And you shall anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar; and the altar shall be most holy.”
    2. Holy Place
      1. Daniel 9:24, “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.”
    3. Laver
      1. Exodus 40:11, “And you shall anoint the laver and its stand, and consecrate it.”
    4. Tabernacle
      1. Exodus 40:9, “Then you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall consecrate it and all its furnishings; and it shall be holy.”
    5. Tent of Meeting
      1. Exodus 30:26, “And with it, you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony.”

    1. As priests
      1. Exodus 28:41, “And you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him; and you shall anoint them and ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve Me as priests.”

      2. 1 Samuel 15:1, “Then Samuel said to Saul, ‘The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over His people, over Israel; now therefore, listen to the words of the Lord.’”
    3. As Prophets
      1. 1 Kings 19:16, “and Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint king over Israel; and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.”
    4. By the Spirit
      1. 1 Samuel 16:13, “Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah.”
      2. Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and freedom to prisoners.”
      3. Acts 10:38, “You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.”

    1. Adoration
      1. Luke 7:38, “and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and kept wiping them with the hair of her head, and kissing His feet, and anointing them with the perfume.”
    2. Appearance
      1. 2 Samuel 12:20, “So David arose from the ground, washed, anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he came into the house of the Lord and worshiped.”
      2. Ruth 3:3, “Wash yourself therefore, and anoint yourself and put on your best clothes, and go down to the threshing floor; but do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.”
    3. Burial
      1. Mark 16:1, “And when the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him.”
    4. Healing
      1. Mark 6:13, “And they were casting out many demons and were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them.”
      2. Luke 10:34, “and came to him, and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.”
      3. James 5:14, “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
