Charles Spine, Sr.

Charles Spine, Sr. currently lives in Washington State.

Born in upstate New York, raised in Southern California.

Originally worked for many years in the construction trades until eventually becoming a law enforcement officer.  Now retired with his wife of 38 years, Deborah, who are together enjoying their grandchildren.

Raised in the Roman Catholic church, “Charlie”, by God’s grace surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at 17 years old.  In their initial years without Christian fellowship or discipleship he and Deborah found their relationship failing and finally turned all aspects of their lives over to the Lord.

Charles and Deborah have two adult children, four grandchildren, and have had several foster children through the years.

Through the 1980’s Charles and Deborah were students of the original “Bible Answer Man” Dr. Walter Martin (Founder of the Christian Research Institute) and have regularly been involved in founding and participating in numerous outreach ministries to those who have found themselves tangled in the webs of the cults, aberrant Christian movements, and the occult.

In his nearly 30-year association with Matthew Slick (President and Founder of the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry), Charles and Matthew have partnered together in all sorts of ministry efforts to reach a lost world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Charles has been witness to Matt’s monumental and ongoing development of CARM.  So, while now in retirement from his public vocation, is once again taking on a more active role in becoming a more vigorous participant in the ministry and began helping with CARM emails in March 2011.
