Why a prayer ministry at CARM?

CARM is a ministry that confronts the lies and half-truths of false religious and secular beliefs that oppose the word of God.  Undoubtedly, the devil is behind a lot of the deception that goes on in the world today.  We know this because Eph. 6:12 says, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Though many people do not believe in the spiritual realm, it is nonetheless a reality.  There are demonic forces at work seeking to deceive and to devour anyone would fall into their deceptive teachings.  CARM is doing its best to oppose these forces and bring the light of God's truth to the forefront.

In today's world there are a multitude of beliefs ranging from atheism to Zoroastrianism.  The devil has been busy.  The spiritual forces of wickedness have manifested themselves in Mormonism, the Jehovah's Witnesses, Islam, atheism, secularism, false world religions, moral relativism, and so much more.  Therefore, since the Bible says we are in a spiritual battle, we must use spiritual weapons.  The primary weapon of spiritual warfare is prayer.

As CARM grows, so does the need for intercessory prayer.  Many people have tried to bring this ministry down.  Many have made false accusations and even threats.  But CARM has survived and remained a visible presence on the Internet and in churches.  Therefore, prayer has become more of a part of CARM as we have lifted this ministry up to the Lord.
