Amino Acid

An amino acid is a building block used to construct protein.  An amino acid is a molecule containing an amino group NH2, a carboxylic acid group COOH, and other compounds.  These are linked together by peptide bonds.  Amino Acids are found in living cells and form the basic building blocks used in information transfer in the DNA molecule.
