Glacier

glacierA glacier is a very large mass of ice that is formed by snow over many years, that moves very slowly, from higher ground to lower ground.  Glaciers are often between mountain areas.  Their movement carves out valleys since the movement of rocks within glaciers, combined with the ice, dredges the land on which they form.
