God the Father

God the Father

In the Christian doctrine of the Trinity there is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  The Father is called the first person of the Trinity.  It was the Father who sent the Son (John 4:34), who gives the elect to the Son (John 6:37), who draws people to the Son (John 6:44), and who cannot be seen (John 6:46; 1 Tim. 6:16).  We are to baptize in the Trinity–the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19).  The Father is said to be in heaven (Mark 11:25).  Prayer is offered to the Father (Luke 10:21; John 17:1-12)
