Primate

monkeyA primate is the highest order of mammals in the taxonomic class of “Order,” which is lower than “Class” but higher than “Family.”  Primates have larger brains and hands, advanced binocular vision, and a shorted snout.  Examples of primates are monkeys, gibbons, gorillas, and, according to evolutionary theory, humans.
