Skepticism is the philosophical view or attitude that consists of doubt about something. Therefore, skepticism would cast doubt on traditional belief systems, religious views, commonly understood morals, principles, etc. Skepticism promotes questioning and doubting with a rational examination in an attempt to learn. It denies that the world can be objectively known in any absolute sense. It further denies the true knowability of God.
