Tradition

Tradition is the handing down from person to person various customs and procedures. Tradition can be a belief, a story, or a practice that has been regularly held in the past.

In Roman Catholicism, tradition is the handing down through the centuries from mouth to mouth of the teachings of Jesus. It began with the apostles and continues unbroken to the present bishopric of the Catholic Church.
