Xenotransplantation

Xenotransplantation is the procedure of transplanting living cells and/or tissue from one species to another species.  Generally, it is referred to in the case of prolonging human life where non-human organs are transplanted into humans.  An example of xenotransplantation would be transplanting the heart of a chimpanzee into a human being.
