Church - False View

  • BIBLE (Correct):  The Church is both the physical representation on earth that is comprised of various congregations, but is more specifically the totality of all those who are born again.  The visible church consists of all who claim to be Christian.  The invisible church is the actual body of regenerated believers.
     
  • CS:  The church is the revelation of Christian Science and its body of followers who are attaining a right knowledge of the Divine Mind.
    • “CHURCH. The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle,” (S&H 583, caps in original).
       
  • JW:   Their church is the true church and the self-proclaimed prophet of God, (The Watchtower, April 1, 1972, p. 197). The JW church is the only channel of God's truth, (The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1981, p. 19).
     
  • LDS:  The church is the LDS organizational structure that is headquartered in Salt Lake City.  All churches besides the LDS church are false.  “Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth,” (1 Nephi 14:10).
     
  • RC:  The Church is the Roman Catholic Church, that it exists on earth with its hierarchical structure, and is comprised of the spiritual and physical realms.
