About The Christian Apologetics & Research Ministry

CARM is a 501(c)3, non-profit, Christian ministry dedicated to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ and the promotion and defense of the Christian Gospel, Doctrine, and Theology.  CARM analyzes religions such as Islam, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, Roman Catholicism, Universalism, Wicca, etc., and compares them to the Bible. We also analyze secular ideas such as abortion, atheism, evolution, and relativism. In all our analyses we use logic and evidence to defend Christianity and promote the truth of the Bible which is the inspired word of God.  Check out the Navigation Bar on the left to see what CARM has to offer.

An Examination of Atheism’s Truth Claims

Definition of Atheism

Atheism is a faith/worldview that denies the existence of any supernatural deity. The Oxford English Dictionary provides the following definition: “To believe nothing of a designing Principle or Mind, nor any Cause, Measure, or Rule of things, but Chance . . . is to be a perfect atheist.”

What is dispensationalism?

by Matt Slick

Dispensationalism is an approach to biblical interpretation which states that God uses different means of working with people (Israel and the Church) during different periods of history, usually seven chronologically successive periods.  However, dispensational division of history varies among its adherents from three periods, to four, seven, and eight dispensations.  Seven is the most common.

Are Christians Against Science?

A 2011 study by the Barna group on why 60% of young Christians disconnect from the church after age 15 shows that nearly one-quarter of those former believers say it is because the church is “anti-science.”  You probably won’t be shocked to learn that this assertion is reinforced and spread by various atheist organizations. For example, in a recent article describing their 2011 ad campaigns, American Humanist Association executive director Roy Speckhardt said, "Humanists get their knowledge from science rather than ancient texts and divine revelations."
