This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven."

      1. Matt. 1:20, "But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for that which has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit."

  2. Characteristics of
    1. Cannot die
      1.  Luke 20:36, "for neither can they die anymore, for they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection."

      1. 1 Tim. 5:21,  "I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels, to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing in a spirit of partiality."

    1. Archangels
      1. 1 Thess. 4:16, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first."
    2. Cherubim
      1. Genesis 3:24, "So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim, and the flaming sword which turned every direction, to guard the way to the tree of life."
      2. Hebrews 9:5, "And above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail."
    3. Seraphim
      1. Isaiah 6:2, "Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew."  Rev. 4:8, "And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.”

      1. Gen. 24:7, "The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my birth, and who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you will take a wife for my son from there."
      2. Acts 8:26, "But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip saying, “Arise and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (This is a desert road.)"

      1. 1 Corinthians 6:3, "Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, matters of this life?"

      1. Heb. 1:14, "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?"

      1. Psalm 34:7, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them."
