What is credobaptism?

by | Jun 12, 2009 | Baptism, Questions

Credobaptism is the practice of baptizing only those who are able to make a profession of faith.  The word credo comes from the Latin for “creed.”  Credobaptism is also called Believer’s Baptism.  Credobaptists maintain that it is improper to baptize infants (paedobaptism) since there is no account in Scripture where infants are baptized.  Credobaptists would also practice baptism by immersion.
