In biology, species are the last of the classifications in the taxonomic rank. It is after genus. A species is a group of organisms that can both interbreed and produce fertile offspring but cannot breed with members of another species. Organisms in a species look the same. Examples of species would be wolves, chickens, giraffes, etc.
