Ark

An ark is a boat or vessel which contains something. The word “ark” occurs about 240 times in the Bible. It refers to the vessel that Noah built–Noah’s Ark, in which various animals entered in preparation for the flood (Gen. 6-9; 1 Pet. 3:20). It also refers to the Ark of the Covenant (Deut. 10:8) and the Ark of the Testimony.
