Monozygotic

Monozygotic

Monozygotic is a type of biological twins that are formed from a single fertilized egg that splits into two separate embryos. Thus, the twins share the exact same genetic information. This is contrasted with dizygotic, which is a type of biological twins that are formed from two separate fertilized eggs and, therefore, will not have identical genetic information.
