Speed of Light

The speed of light is the rate at which light (as well as x-rays, radio waves, etc.,) travels in a vacuum. It is 299,792,458 meters per second or 186,282 miles per second. The speed of light is supposed to be the maximum speed at which any object can travel. The speed decreases in different mediums, such as water and air.
