The radio show began on Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 and it is going great. Even though the station is based out of Boise Idaho, most of the callers have been from out of state. They listen via the Internet connection at www.myfamilyradio.com on the AM station.
The show is called "Faith and Reason with Matt Slick." It am on for one hour, five days a week, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Mountain Time). It's a live call-in show where people can ask all kinds of questions dealing with Christianity, the Bible, cults, etc. Why don't you call in? The toll free number is 877-377-3790. I'd love to hear from anyone calling in with a question or comment. Heck, call in and tell me what you think of CARM. Here are the times

As some of you know, my wife has Marfan syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that affects the entire body. Because of this condition she is, basically, uninsurable. Last month after she had a standard mammogram, a dark spot was discovered. Yesterday she went in for another exam it turns out the dark spot is nothing to worry about, a common cyst. In addition, she was given a grant by the medical center to cover the added cost of the more specialized test that was necessary to determine what that dark spot was. So, we're praising God that everything has turned out okay.
Please remember to pray for my wife. Marfan syndrome is not fun. I could list several things that she is undergoing because of it but do not want to burden you. There are, after all, so many who have legitimate needs in the body of Christ that I don't want to draw unnecessary attention to our plight. But, should the Lord put it upon your heart pray for us, this Ministry, and my wife, we would greatly appreciate it.
CARM does have a prayer Ministry. If you are interested in joining us as we pray for others' needs, or if you have needs that you need pray for, please go to http://www.carm.org/prayer.htm and sign up.
Goals for CARM
Please pray for this Ministry. There are several things in the works, behind-the-scenes, that could strongly affect CARM is a Ministry. Hopefully, we will have additional help here on site to enable me to be freed up to do more teaching, writing, research, etc. There are several people who are very interested in working with CARM and we have some good ideas.
The goal is to do as much as possible for the presentation in defense of the gospel. To this end, I hope to move into further audio teachings, PowerPoint presentations, flash presentations, and video presentations. I've been entertaining the idea of developing a Sunday school curriculum for apologetics and basic Christian doctrine. But, these of have to wait until after I finish my two books.
CARM desperately needs a staff. Please pray.
What are they saying?
CARM is constantly getting e-mails of thanks and praise for the information and research that is available. Here are a few e-mails...in the raw.
What do you think of CARM? Why don't you let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org?
CARM has a Chat Room
The CARM chat room is a success and we have had as many as 20 people in it at a time who come from all over. So, if you are interested in chatting with me or others, then check it out. It's located here http://www.carm.org/boards/chat.htm.
Weekly Teaching Time on Paltalk
Every Thursday evening I host a live discussion room on paltalk.com. Paltalk is a free voice chat system that is quite good. Paltalk is full of Christians as well as non-Christians and the battles over truth are frequent. It is however, a good place to learn how to defend your faith. If any of you are interested and would like to check it out, please join us for our weekly discussion by going to paltalk, download the program, and join us on Thursday evenings.
