The ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) is the church to which the pro-late-term-abortionist Tiller was a member in good standing.  Tiller was murdered in his church.

In the news, Tiller has been eulogized as a "passionate and generous" man.  Of course, nothing is said of how he performed thousands of late-term abortions.  The News ignores this atrocity and praises the man.  Good has become evil and evil has become good.  The secular media is complicit with the enemy at the gospel with its liberal, ungodly, and sinful agenda.  So, what are we to do?

As Christians, we first need to be praying and asking the Lord to send revival upon this nation.  We need to be asking the Lord to work in our own hearts, to repent from sin, and to place upon our souls the burden of prayer.  We are in the midst of a huge spiritual battle and we must wage the war with spiritual weapons.  The primary weapon is prayer.  We must pray for the will of God to be accomplished and for the salvation of those who do not know him.  We must pray for the repentance of this country.  We need another Great Awakening.  Second, we must be alert and resist the enemy as it works through our cultures, through the media, through the schools, and through our own lives. We must think biblically.  We must vote biblically.  We need to write letters, send e-mails, and voice our disapproval regularly and consistently against the oppressors of righteousness.

Do not make the mistake of being complacent and apathetic.  When good people do nothing, then the wicked prosper.  We Christians are the ones who are good in the sight of God because of the righteousness of Christ that has been reckoned to our accounts by faith.  Therefore, we are to be active.  Pray!  God hears our prayers and we have the moral obligation before God to lift up this country to him and ask for him to move mightily within its borders.

I must ask, how is it that the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, which claims to be Christian, would ever have in good standing anyone such a Tiller who so easily destroyed lives in thousands of wombs.  The fact that the ELCA permitted such moral hypocrisy within its doors is a demonstration of its own apostasy.

Jesus said in Matt. 7:3-5, "And why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye."  Our obligation as Christians is to first clean our own house and then look outward.  If the Christian Church is not strong enough to expel the ungodly from its own doors, it will never be able to be a light to the unbelievers.  And we will lose the cultural and moral war -- and with that, we will lose this country.  Therefore, pray that the Lord God would clean the Christian Church.

But, I warn you.  Praying for such a thing often brings what we are not prepared to accept: persecution.  Persecution has been throughout the centuries one of the chief means by which God purifies his Church.  We need purification and might be that persecution is how we are to be purified.  So, if you desire the Church to be purified, pray that it be done according to God's will and that, if possible, persecution would be avoided.  Rather, pray that God would send his Spirit and bring repentance to this nation.

In the meantime, pray for the purification and strengthening of the body of Christ.

From Ryan Turner

As Matt mentioned above, I have been busily working on getting our new online schools ready for release.  It has been several weeks of updating, editing, proofreading, quiz designing, etc.  The new format is going to enable these schools to look better and better communicate the theological material.

In the past few weeks, I have finally written a few new articles for the CARM website including an article on T.D. Jakes.

I will be travelling down to Manti, Utah next Monday (June 22nd) to evangelize Mormons at the Manti Miracle Pageant.  This pageant is basically a play about the history of Mormonism with an occasional mockery of Christianity.  About 10,000 Mormons show up each night to watch this play.  Over 100 Christians and myself will be there to try to witness to these Mormons.  This will be my second time going.  Please pray that the Lord will open these Mormons eyes to the gospel.

    • You’re a religious ***************** and I curse the day you were born.  Sincerely, a dissatisfied Wiccan.
    • “The truth is that Kabbalah has evolved.  But it has evolved from one heresy deeper into another. It is not biblical and it is not true.”
This is a very bold statement.  One that is founded on nothing but perception and naivety.  Have you studied Kabbalah at all, traditional or modern?  Do you understand what you are saying by calling it heretical?  Kabbalah is not a religion, but a system that explains the origins of the universe and unlocks the secrets of the bible so we can all understand God
on a deeper and more personal level.
Before you make a statement like that, remove your blinders and your narrow-mindedness and open up to the boundless, limitless, and eternal realm of our Creator, where miracles occur every second and our souls are consistently connected to the source of all creation…Regards and best wishes, Benyamin
    •  I find it interesting that CARM is very quick to critisize religions based on that religions founders and followers logic and interpretation of the Word of God.  However, CARM seems to believe that only their logic and interpretation is correct.  And wasnt the majority of the Bible translated by a group of scholars from the 1600's who were told to by a King of England. Interesting that it is then that particular work that CARM is devoted to. Brock
    • God is not the trinty there is only one God under heaven where by we must be save.  Read John 10:30, Ps.2:7, Mark 12:29, John 17:3  Then read act 2.  We were born in sin and have to repent everyday for our sins.  Jesus is God manifest in the flesh and the Holy Ghost or spirit is something you recieve after repenting and then you are baptized which washes you of your sins then you receive the gift of t God Be with you not against you.he holy Ghost......Please before you go teaching the doctrine learn it THE DANFORDS

    • Good day! My true name is Neil...I am 21 years old and I am from the Philippines.  I would like to personally express my gratitude to your website,, and to your testimony as well.
One time, I was looking for the word "apologetics," hoping that its links would give some fresh insights regarding cults.  When I've typed the word in, your website is the first link that came out regarding "apologetics."  I've tried reading from time to time, little by little, and I find the site really cool (for me)!!  The facts regarding cults and other Christian disciplines are really detailed and well-researched.  It gives me an accurate knowledge about such things.  I've actually recommended to my Christian friends.  Again, good day, Mr. Slick!!!
    • Hello! CARM :)  Well I attend [name of school] and was saved this Easter.  So my Bible teacher Jason gave me your web site; since I used to be Mormon and my parents are still Mormon.  Also my best friend wants to be baptized in the Mormon Church.  And, by the way, I love your web site it's awesome and answered many of my questions.  So thank you x3! Wiley
    • Hi Matt, I know you are busy and so I will make this as brief as I can.  I'm a Christian (for four years now), and when I first came upon CARM I was already investigating everything that was in any way spiritual.  The things you described in your Wicca section-- I saw many such things and I was terrorized for a year from them.  I'm not ashamed to say that I saw demons and other freakish manifestations of spirits.  I wasn't Wiccan, but I was looking into occult things.  Right before all this happened (it's a long story, so I won't go into it), I challenged God to prove Himself.  It was a very terrible time, and I became bitter and hateful.  After a year of this, I finally broke down, went to my knees and begged God for mercy.  I finally realized what sin was, what I deserved, and what He had done to save me. He proved Himself, which I never expected.  You said that you were saved in a very real and dramatic way, and so was I!  I experienced God when I put my faith in Christ, not just myself but through real evidence, and what Jesus spoke in John 14:21 was true!  I immediately went searching to see what this God I had met taught and what He wanted from me, and it continues to this day.  He is God, the only God, Faithful and True, and I don't think I could ever heap enough praise on His name.
What you do, what God does through you, is an amazing encouragement to me.  You have no idea how many times I've thought, "Man, where would I be if not for that CARM article?"  The Mormons I've witnessed to, the Witnesses I've taught, the Muslims I've debated-- much of what I learned from your ministry was a great help.  I feel a real kindred spirit, you could say, with you, because I think we've gone along similar journeys.  Thank you for what you do, and God bless you.  God really made you a light.  Always remember Proverbs 3:5.  What you do is important, and fruitful.  May you never think otherwise.  Your loving brother, Joey
    • I just found your channel on here, nice to see you've branched out to YouTube.  I came to Christ about four years ago, but soon after realized that the validity of The Bible and Christianity is constantly under attack.
At this point I started researching and found your website. Once I began reading through not only did I understand the evidence and the reasoning behind my faith but I also gained a solid theological base that helped me to discuss things with non-Christians.
I have had lots of help thanks to your website over the years and it has helped gain a deep interest in apologetics.  Thank you for doing what God has called you to do and ministering to people through your website.  Keep up the good work.
    • [From an atheist] Matt, started listening to your podcast ever since you called into the Atheist Experience TV show and you “debated” the other Matt (Matt Dillahunty).  I have downloaded and listened to every podcast since then.  I have to admit that I gotten more information from your podcast than most of the others I download (or used to).  You are definitely right.  There is no way to argue or defend your view point without learning and studying the other side.  Your website is a wealth of information!  An absolute goldmine!  Your information on Mormons, Catholics, and other ”flavors” of belief (almost said Christianity) is invaluable.  I thank you for all your hard work!  Keep it up!  Brent
