Chad Ressler

My journey from a sinner to a child of God began in December of 2006 when I first attended the Warren Alliance Church in my hometown of Warren, Pennsylvania. The Warren Alliance Church is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination.  I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior in January of 2007 and was baptized in February.  I hold a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford and an M.A. in Theological Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. I am currently pursuing an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. It has been a blessing to study and be engaged in the fields of theology and apologetics. Perhaps unique to me here at CARM is an interest in the integration of psychology and theology. While psychology has largely been dominated by secular thought, in recent years the Christian counseling movement has grown tremendously. Psychology, while a powerful tool to help those in need, is made more complete by the addition of Christian presuppositions. Theologically, I hold to a Reformed theology. Psychologically, I find cognitive-behavioral therapy to be most effective in helping individuals overcome their difficulties. More specifically, I focus my study on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Combining REBT with Biblical truth is a wonderful tool to help those who are suffering. May you be richly blessed by the work here at CARM!
