insectsAn insect is a small arthropod organism in the class of insecta.  It is a small living invertebrate that has a body divided into three parts (head, thorax, and abdomen), six legs, and usually two pairs of wings.  Insect examples are bees, ants, butterflies, grasshoppers, moths, crickets, flies, termites, etc.
