Amish

by | Sep 28, 2016 | Amish, Minor Groups & Issues

The Amish are a group that grew out of the Anabaptist movement. They revere the Bible, hold to trinitarian confessions of faith, and agree with many aspects of Protestant Christianity. Some Amish communities uphold the biblical gospel and are genuinely Christian, while many others adhere to a form of works righteousness and baptismal regeneration. They are found primarily in North America. They are most famous for their refusal to use many forms of modern technology and use of horse-drawn carriages rather than cars.
