Charles Spine, Sr. currently lives with his wife of 50 years Deborah in Washington State.
“Charlie” was born in upstate New York and raised in Huntington Beach, California.
Originally, he worked as a Journeyman Carpenter in the construction trades for many years
until eventually becoming a law enforcement officer. 
He also served a term as Commissioner on the Riverside County Juvenile Justice Commission.
Now retired, he and his wife are together enjoying their interesting life and family.
Charlie was raised in the Roman Catholic church. By God’s grace, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at 17 years old. In their initial years without Christian fellowship or discipleship, he and Deborah found their relationship failing until they finally turned all aspects of their lives over to Jesus.
Charles and Deborah have two adult children, four grandchildren, and three great-
grandchildren. Additionally, together they have raised a variety of foster children.
Through the 1980s Charles and Deborah became deeply grounded in their Christian walk as students of the original “Bible Answer Man” Dr. Walter Martin (Founder of the Christian
Research Institute) and they have regularly been involved in founding and participating in
numerous outreach ministries to those who are tangled in the webs of the cults, aberrant
Christian movements, and the occult.
He and Matt Slick met in 1980 and, ever since, have partnered together in all sorts of ministry efforts to reach a lost world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Since retiring, Charlie has taken on a more active role in the ministry of CARM. Charlie helps in answering CARM emails, functions on the board of directors, and helps Matt in his daily radio show by posting links and de-spamming the video chatrooms during the live broadcast.
