Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy. Generally, it is an act committed by one person upon a pregnant female human where the living organism in that pregnant female is terminated.  Abortion is considered safe by many people but evidence suggests that there is an increase in health risks to the mother who has her fetus terminated.
