Factoring

In mathematics, factoring is the representation of a number by another set of numbers that are multiplied together. For example, 9 has the factors of 3 and 3, hence, 3 x 3 = 9. It also is 1 x 9. Eight (8) can be represented by 2 x 2 x 2, 1 x 8, and 2 x 4.
