Osmosis

Osmosis

Osmosis is the passing of a liquid through a semipermeable membrane, the process of which increases the concentration of the fluid. Osmosis is also the same process that balances the contents of solutions on different sides of the semipermeable membrane. It can be the movement of a fluid with a high concentration of a substance to another fluid with a lower concentration of the same substance, thereby balancing the two concentrations.
