Pope

In Roman Catholicism, the Pope is supposed to be Christ’s representative on earth, the head of the one true church on earth, and the supreme leader of the Roman Catholic Church. He is, according to Catholicism, the visible successor of Peter, the Bishop of Rome.

The term “pope” is also used by the Coptic patriarch of Alexandria in the head of the Orthodox Church.
