Postmillennialism (after the millennium) is an eschatological position within Christian theology that interprets Revelation 20 as a period in which through the preaching of the Word of God that the entire world will eventually be converted to Christianity, and this will usher in the kingdom of Christ.

This is when Christ will return. It is postmillennial in that after the 1,000-year reign of Christ that the world will be converted and the final work of God will be completed. Some Postmillennialists believe the 1,000 years is literal, and others believe it is figurative.
