Pre-existence is the teaching that before our existence here on earth that we had a prior existence. Biblically, we do not pre-exist (1 Cor. 15:46). Our beginning is at our conception. Many aberrant groups teach pre-existence, such as Mormonism and the Shepherds Chapel. Also, all groups that teach reincarnation affirm the idea of pre-existence.
