Many Mormons email CARM with the same complaint. They tell us that they are Christians, good people, do good things, honor God, and believe in Jesus. Why, then, would we dare call them non-Christian in light of all that they do and believe.

First of all, it isn’t the deeds of the Mormons we Christians disagree with.  It is their view of God, salvation, and Jesus that makes them wrong. We ask that before you email us telling us we don’t know what we’re talking about, please read the material on the site.  If you see something wrong, offer a correction with documentation.  Please provide the sources you want to quote to prove your point.  If you prove your point, we’ll probably change the information. (And we have changed it before to clarify a point because of Mormons).

If you can’t do this, then please reconsider emailing CARM. If all you want to do is ‘bear your testimony,’ save your fingers. Opinions and feelings don’t hold up against the facts, and you will simply end up receiving a standard email response.

Don’t get me wrong. We are not afraid of your emails. But so many tend to be the same thing: opinion, anger, and no facts. Sorry, but after 25,000 emails in 4 years, you start to see a pattern. The upside of this is that some of these email writers are checking the validity of their beliefs.
