Sept. 12, 2015. Maria Goldstein was denied the printing of flyers at Office Depot because the Flyers contained a prayer for the conversion and repentance of Planned Parenthood which Office Depot said was hate speech.
She ordered the Flyers online and received a call later that day saying that they needed to talk with her. They said the flyer could not be printed because the content was restricted by corporate policy. When she asked what the corporate policy was, they would not say. The corporate office would not return any of her calls.
In an interview with Fox News, she said that the prayer in the flyer was for people not against them. She admitted that it was strongly worded, but no more than the strong actions of Planned Parenthood that kills living babies.
Office Depot’s company policy prohibits “The copying of any type of material that advocates any form of racial or religious discrimination or the persecution of certain groups of people.”1
Apparently the position of Office Depot is that if you oppose Planned Parenthood, then you are persecuting a group of people.
A lawsuit is pending.
