   1. Slave to Lender
      1. Proverbs 22:7, “The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.”

      1. Proverbs 6:1-5, “My son, if you have become surety for your neighbor, Have given a pledge for a stranger, 2 If you have been snared with the words of your mouth, Have been caught with the words of your mouth, 3 Do this then, my son, and deliver yourself; Since you have come into the hand of your neighbor, Go, humble yourself, and importune your neighbor. 4 Do not give sleep to your eyes, Nor slumber to your eyelids; 5 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hunter’s hand, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.”
      2. Proverbs 11:15, “He who is surety for a stranger will surely suffer for it, but he who hates going surety is safe.”
      3. Proverbs 17:18, “A man lacking in sense pledges, and becomes surety in the presence of his neighbor.”
      4. Proverbs 22:26-27, “Do not be among those who give pledges, among those who become sureties for debts. 27 If you have nothing with which to pay, why should he take your bed from under you?”

Timothy 6:9-11, “But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves with many a pang.”

   1. Proverbs 23:4-5, “Do not weary yourself to gain wealth. Cease from your consideration of it. 5 When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings, like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.”

Matthew 6:19-21, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Genesis 41:34-36, “Let Pharaoh take action to appoint overseers in charge of the land, and let him exact a fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven years of abundance. 35 “Then let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain for food in the cities under Pharaoh’s authority, and let them guard it. 36 “And let the food become as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which will occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land may not perish during the famine.”
   2. Luke 14:28, “For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?”
8. Tithing
   1. Genesis 28:22, “And this stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God’s house; and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”
   2. Deuteronomy 14:22, “You shall surely tithe all the produce from what you sow, which comes out of the field every year.”
   3. 1 Chronicles 29:14, “But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.”
