Unfortunately, this question is due to the recent headlines of sexual misconduct by those in various churches. No, it is not okay for Priests and Pastors to have sex with young boys and girls. In fact, it is a great sin. The Bible tells us not to have sexual intercourse with anyone other than our spouses.
- “Let the husband fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again lest Satan tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6 But this I say by way of concession, not of command,” (1 Cor. 7:3-6).
- “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God,” (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
- “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; 28 but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart,” (Matt. 5:27-28).
- “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers, God will judge,” (Heb. 13:4).
When religious leaders commit such great sins as fornication, adultery, and pedophilia, they should be defrocked and, if necessary, prosecuted. So again, it is not okay for those in spiritual positions of church (or any place in society) to have sexual relations with young children.
