A threesome (mΓ©nage Γ trois) is defined as sexual intercourse between three people simultaneously. It could be two men and a woman, two women and a man, three men, or three women. In either situation, a threesome is sinful and should be avoided. It is not okay to have a threesome with your spouse, even if the spouse consents. Furthermore, it’s not okay to have sexual intercourse with anyone with whom you are not married.
First of all, marriage is properly defined as a union between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:20-25). It is only within the confines of marriage that sexual relations are allowed. Therefore, it would not be proper to have a third individual involved.
Second, society, as it decays into a moral mess, offers more and more titillation. On TV women are scantily clad and sexual promiscuity is the accepted norm. Those who advocate celibacy and/or sexual fidelity in marriage are often seen as prudes, bigots, and backward. It is within this social context that people’s impressions of what constitutes decent sexual behavior have been altered. Now there is polyamory, orgies, sexual promiscuity, homosexuality, and other sexually immoral activities.
Third, such behavior usually leads to other behaviors. We often get bored with something and want something new for more stimulation and excitement. A threesome can lead to orgies, wife swapping, etc. Then there’s the emotional effect of knowing that your spouse has willingly had sex with someone else.
Even though some people may be fine with all of this, it does not mean it’s okay.
