Is it okay to practice manscaping?

by | Apr 20, 2011 | Questions, Sexuality

Manscaping is the practice where men remove body hair by shaving, waxing, and/or plucking. There can be different reasons for doing this such as preventing lice, enhancing sexual appeal, religious reasons, etc. Bodybuilders have removed bodily hair for years in order to better display their physique during competition. Shaving the face is socially acceptable for men and normal in most societies. However, shaving all other body hair is not as widely accepted.

The Bible doesn’t talk about it, so it seems that there is no biblical warning about it being a sin.  However, motivation is key.  If the person is seeking it in order to participate in a sinful activity, this would be wrong. Nevertheless, it is up to the individual to decide what to do.
