The Avengers, Age of Ultron, is yet another installment in the highly successful Avengers series. In keeping with the previous action-packed movies, this one delivers even more explosions, fighting, and widespread devastation. Ultron is a supersmart and sentient robot, voiced by James Spader, who doesn’t like humanity and wants to see it destroyed. Of course, this kick starts the Avengers into action once again…lots of action.
As usual, the special effects are excellent and the acting is just as good. But I have to say that I was just a little bored in a couple of places, not because it was a boring movie, but because the action was so incessant that I felt a little bit overloaded. But that’s just me. After all, I’m pushing 60 and maybe my brain has seen enough action-packed heroes exchanging fisticuffs while rescuing, delivering, and basically destroying lots of stuff around them. But, something I’ll never get tired of is the message of cooperation, of sacrifice, and fighting for what is right. That is clearly brought out in the movie and enjoyably so.
There’s no nudity but there is a little bit of swearing.
It was a great movie, the kind of movie I recommend you see in 3-D. I know a lot of people don’t care about that, but with my uber-sophisticated tastes in action movies (with the requisite minimalistic plot development and character development), 3-D makes it all the more enjoyable.
