Islam by topic: All Topics Combined

by | Jun 9, 2016 | Islam, World Religions

This very large file is provided to enable easy searchability on a variety of topics within Islam so you can cut and paste information when and where needed. Of course, there are individual topics listed in the Islamic section on CARM. But this file is a combination of all of them.

  1. Abrogation – Abrogation means “to abolish by formal or officially annul an authoritative act,”1 “to end or cancel (something) in a formal and official way: to fail to do what is required by (something, such as a responsibility),”2, “to abolish, do away with, or annul, especially by authority.”3 Many verses in the Quran are abrogated by others. Generally, the later the Surah, the more authority.  The earlier Surahs are authoritative unless abrogated by newer ones
    1.  Surah 2:106-111, “None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?”
      1. No other scriptures except the Quran are said to be abrogated.
    2. Surah 2:136, Say ye: “We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam).”
  2. Adam – In Islam, God made Adam 90 feet tall (60 cubits), told the Angels to bow down before him but Satan would not, was forbidden to eat of the fruit in the garden, and because of his sin was eventually banished. Adam argued with Moses and met Muhammad.
    1. Angels to bow down before
      1. Surah 2:34, “And behold, We said to the angels: “Bow down to Adam” and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith.”
      2. Surah 7:11, “It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels bow down to Adam, and they bowed down; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who bow down.”
    2. Created out of dust
      1. Surah 3:59, “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: “Be.” And he was.”
    3. Forbidden to eat from the tree in the Garden of Eden
      1. Surah 2:35, We said: “O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden; and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) ye will; but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression.”
    4. Adam was made 90 feet tall, 60 cubits.
      1. The Prophet said, “Allah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall. When He created him, He said to him, “Go and greet that group of angels, and listen to their reply, for it will be your greeting (salutation) and the greeting (salutations of your offspring.” So, Adam said (to the angels), As-Salamu Alaikum (i.e. Peace be upon you). The angels said, “As-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatu-l-lahi” (i.e. Peace and Allah’s Mercy be upon you). Thus the angels added to Adam’s salutation the expression, ‘Wa Rahmatu-l-lahi,’ Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adam’s creation. (Book #55, Hadith #543, Narrated Abu Huraira)
  3. Allah – In Islam, there is only one God who, like Christianity, is absolute, immutable, holy, righteous, and forgiving.  Most probably Muhammad got his basic ideas about God from the Christians and Jews. However, in Islam God is not love as he is in Christianity (1 John 4:8) and he only loves Muslims (Surah 3:31-32).  Islam denies the Trinity and mistakenly equates Mary as part of what it sees is the trinitarian heresy.  Of course, that is a misrepresentation of the Trinity.
    1. No God but Allah
      1. Surah 2:255, “Allah! There is no god but He – the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).
      2. Surah 3:18, “There is no god but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no god but He, the Exalted in Power, the Wise.”
      3. Surah 112:1-4, “Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; 2 Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; 3 He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; 4 And there is none like unto Him.”
    2. Oneness of Allah
      1. Surah 4:171, “O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not “Trinity”: desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.”
      2. “Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: A man heard another man reciting (in the prayers): ‘Say (O Muhammad): “He is Allah, the One.” (112.1) And he recited it repeatedly. When it was morning, he went to the Prophet and informed him about that as if he considered that the recitation of that Sura by itself was not enough. Allah’s Apostle said, “By Him in Whose Hand my life is, it is equal to one-third of the Quran.” (Bukhari: Book 9: Volume 93: Hadith 471 Narrated by Abu Said Al-Khudri)
    3. Worship Allah only
      1. Surah 3:64, “Say: “O People of the Book! Come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah.” If then they turn back, say ye: “Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will).”
      2. “Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The Prophet used to say, “I seek refuge (with YOU) by Your ‘Izzat, None has the right to be worshipped but You Who does not die while the Jinns and the human beings die.” (Bukhari: Book 9: Volume 93: Hadith 480 Narrated by Abu Said Al-Khudri)

    5. Unique
      1. Surah 112:4, And there is none like unto Him.
    6. Omnipresent
      1. Surah 2:115, To Allah belong the east and the West: Whithersoever ye turn, there is the presence of Allah. For Allah is all-Pervading, all-Knowing.
      2. Surah 7:7, “And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place).
    7. Creator
      1. Surah 2:29, “It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge.”
      2. Surah 3:191, “Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): “Our Lord! Not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.”
      3. Surah 36:81, “Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like thereof?” – Yea, indeed! For He is the Creator Supreme, of skill and knowledge (infinite)!”
    8. Omniscient
      1. Surah 2:115, “To Allah belong the east and the West: Whithersoever ye turn, there is the presence of Allah. For Allah is all-Pervading, all-Knowing.”
      2. Surah 2:268, “The Evil one threatens you with poverty and bids you to conduct unseemly. Allah promiseth you His forgiveness and bounties. And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things.”
      3. Surah 10:61, “In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur’an – and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing – We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.”
    9. Omnipotent
      1. Surah 6:61-62, “He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers, and He sets guardians over you. At length, when death approaches one of you, Our angels take his soul, and they never fail in their duty. 62 Then are men returned unto Allah, their protector, the (only) reality: Is not His the command? And He is the swiftest in taking account.
    10. Judge
      1. Surah 3:30, “On the Day when every soul will be confronted with all the good it has done, and all the evil it has done, it will wish there were a great distance between it and its evil. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself. And Allah is full of kindness to those that serve Him.”
      2. Surah 95:8, “Is not Allah the wisest of judges?”
      3. Surah 99:6-8, “On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done). 7 Then shall anyone who has done an atom’s weight of good, see it! 8 And anyone who has done an atom’s weight of evil, shall see it.”
    11. Worship of
      1. “The Prophet said, “O Mu’adh! Do you know what Allah’s Right upon His slaves is?” I said, “Allah and His Apostle know best.” The Prophet said, “To worship Him (Allah) Alone and to join none in worship with Him (Allah). Do you know what their right upon Him is?” I replied, “Allah and His Apostle know best.” The Prophet said, “Not to punish them (if they do so).” (Bukhari: Book 9: Volume 93: Hadith 470 Narrated Mu’adh bin Jabal: )
    12. First and Last
      1. Surah 57:3, “He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent: and He has full knowledge of all things.”
    13. Trinity, not true
    14. Trinity and Mary
      1. Surah 5:116, “And behold! Allah will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah?” He will say: “Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.
    15. Allah does not beget a Son
      1. Surah 23:91, “No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!”
      2. Surah 19:88-93, “They say: “(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!” 89 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! 90 At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, 91 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 92 For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. 93 Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant.”
    16. Allah does not love unbelievers
      1. Surah 3:32, “Say: “Obey Allah and His Apostle”: But if they turn back, Allah loveth not those who reject Faith.”
      2. Surah 30:45, “That He may reward those who believe and work righteous deeds, out of his Bounty. For He loves not those who reject Faith.”
    17. Obey Allah and Muhammad
      1. Surah 3:32, “Say: “Obey Allah and His Apostle”: But if they turn back, Allah loveth not those who reject Faith.”
    18. Light of the heavens and earth
      1. Surah 24:35, “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.”
  4. Animal Sacrifices – In Islam, animal sacrifice is practiced according to the Quran and the hadith. Though there does not seem to be any theological significance to this, they lack of clarity on what the purpose is, is intriguing.  Animal sacrifices are to be done in concert with the Hajj.
    1. Can’t eat meat sacrificed on stone altars
      1. Surah 5:3, “Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah. that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.”
    2. Day of sacrifice is the 10th of Dhu’l-Hijjae
      1. “…After that he did not treat anything as lawful which had become unlawful till he had completed his Hajj and sacrificed his animal on the day of sacrifice (10th of Dhu’l-Hijja)…”(Sahih Muslim, Book #007, Hadith #2832)
    3. Don’t violate symbols of Allah or the animal sacrifices
      1. Surah 5:2, “O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the sacred house, seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah. For Allah is strict in punishment.”
        1. Commentary: “The verse then forbids specifically harming or destroying the offerings (the livestock set aside to be ritually slaughtered at the conclusion of the pilgrimage; see also 2: 196; 5: 97; 48: 25) or failing to observe their inviolate status as sacrificial offerings, symbolized by the garlands traditionally placed around the necks of these animals (see also v. 97). Such garlands were reportedly used during the pre-Islamic pilgrimage as well, and their use was considered to have been originally an Abrahamic practice (Q). (Nasr, Seyyed Hossein; Dagli, Caner K.; Dakake, Maria Massi; Lumbard, Joseph E.B.; Rustom, Mohammed (2015-11-17). The Study Quran: A New Translation and Commentary (Kindle Locations 14463-14466). HarperCollins. Kindle Edition.)
    4. Offer a sacrifice if you cannot complete the Hajja
      1. Surah 2:196, “And complete the Hajj or ‘umra in the service of Allah. But if ye are prevented (From completing it), send an offering for sacrifice, such as ye may find, and do not shave your heads until the offering reaches the place of sacrifice. And if any of you is ill, or has an ailment in his scalp, (Necessitating shaving), (He should) in compensation either fast, or feed the poor, or offer sacrifice; and when ye are in peaceful conditions (again), if any one wishes to continue the ‘umra on to the hajj, He must make an offering, such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, He should fast three days during the hajj and seven days on his return, Making ten days in all. This is for those whose household is not in (the precincts of) the Sacred Mosque. And fear Allah, and know that Allah Is strict in punishment.”
    5. Place of sacrifice is the Ancient House
      1. Surah 22:33, “In them ye have benefits for a term appointed: in the end their place of sacrifice is near the Ancient House.”
      2. Sacrifice of different animals
        1. Cattle
          1. Surah 22:28, “That they may witness the benefits (provided) for them, and celebrate the name of Allah, through the Days appointed, over the cattle which He has provided for them (for sacrifice): then eat ye thereof and feed the distressed ones in want.”
        2. Camels
          1. Surah 22:36, “The sacrificial camels we have made for you as among the symbols from Allah: in them is (much) good for you: then pronounce the name of Allah over them as they line up (for sacrifice): when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat ye thereof, and feed such as (beg not but) live in contentment, and such as beg with due humility: thus have We made animals subject to you, that ye may be grateful.”
        3. Cows
          1. “A’isba (Allah be pleased with her) said: We proceeded with the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) with no other Intention but that of performing the Hajj. As I was at Sarif or near it, 1 entered in the state of menses. The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) came to me and I was weeping, whereupon he said: Are you in a state of menses? I said. Yes. whereupon he said: This is what Allah has ordained for all the daughters, of Adam. Do whatever the pilgrim does. except that you should not circumambulate the House till you have washed yourself (at the end of the menses period). And the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) offered sacrifice of a cow on behalf of his wives.  (Sahih Muslim, Book #007, Hadith #2772)
        4. Mature animals
          1. Jabir reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Sacrifice only a grown-up animal, unless it is difficult for you, in which case sacrifice a ram (of even less than a year, but more than six months’ age).  (Sahih Muslim, Book #022, Hadith #4836)
    6. Throw stones at the devil before sacrificing animals
      1. Abdullah b. ‘Amr b. al-‘As (Allah be pleased with them) reported: Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) stopped while riding his camel and the people began to ask him. One of the inquirers said: Messenger of Allah, I did not know that pebbles should be thrown before sacrificing the animal, and by mistake I sacrificed the animal before throwing pebbles, whereupon Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: (Now) throw pebbles and there is no harm in it. Then another (person) came saying: I did not know that the animal was to be sacrificed before shaving, but I got myself shaved before sacrificing the animal, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: sacrifice the animal (now) and there is no harm in it. He (the narrator) said: I did not hear that anything was asked on that day (shout a matter) which a person forgot and could not observe the sequence or anything like it either due to forgetfulness or ignorance, but Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said (about that): Do it; there is no harm in it.  (Book #007, Hadith #2996)
    7. Ransom of sacrifice
      1. Commentary on the Quran:
        1. “At the end of both ḥajj and ʿumrah, one usually shaves one’s head or cuts one’s hair, and in the case of one who has a head or scalp ailment preventing this act, a ransom by fasting, charity, or rite is required. Rite (nusuk) here refers specifically to sacrifice, though the word literally means “ritual” or “act of worship.” The ransom of fasting is to fast for ten days; the ransom of feeding the poor is to feed ten poor people; and the ransom of sacrifice is at least a sheep (Q). (Nasr, Seyyed Hossein; Dagli, Caner K.; Dakake, Maria Massi; Lumbard, Joseph E.B.; Rustom, Mohammed (2015-11-17). The Study Quran: A New Translation and Commentary (Kindle Locations 6131-6135). HarperCollins. Kindle Edition.)
    8. Ransom is related to sacrifice
      1. “Narrated Ka’b bin Ujra: We were in the company of Allah’s Apostle at Al-Hudaibiya in the state of Ihram and the pagans did not allow us to proceed (to the Ka’ba). I had thick hair and lice started falling on my face. The Prophet passed by me and said, “Are the lice of your head troubling you?” I replied, Yes.” (The sub-narrator added, “Then the following Divine Verse was revealed:– “And if anyone of you is ill or has an ailment in his scalp, (necessitating shaving) must pay a ransom (Fida) of either fasting or feeding the poor, Or offering a sacrifice.” (2.196)  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #59, Hadith #504)
    9. Uncategorized
      1. Surah 22:32, “Such (is his state): and whoever holds in honour the symbols of Allah, (in the sacrifice of animals), such (honour) should come truly from piety of heart.”
      2. The Prophet said (on the day of Idal-Adha), “The first thing we will do on this day of ours, is to offer the (‘Id) prayer and then return to slaughter the sacrifice. Whoever does so, he acted according to our Sunna (tradition), and whoever slaughtered (the sacrifice) before the prayer, what he offered was just meat he presented to his family, and that will not be considered as Nusak (sacrifice).” (On hearing that) Abu Burda bin Niyar got up, for he had slaughtered the sacrifice before the prayer, and said, “I have got a six month old ram.” The Prophet said, ‘Slaughter it (as a sacrifice) but it will not be sufficient for any-one else (as a sacrifice after you). Al-Bara’ added: The Prophet said, “Whoever slaughtered (the sacrifice) after the prayer, he slaughtered it at the right time and followed the tradition of the muslims.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #68, Hadith #453, Narrated Al-Bara)
  5. Bible – Islam teaches that the Bible is corrupted.  It says that Allah gave the Psalms to David (Surah 4:163), the Torah to Moses (Surah 2:87), the Gospel to Jesus (Surah 57:27), and stated that none can alter the words of Allah (Surah 6:34; Surah 6:115; Surah 18:27), the scriptures that were then in their possession (Surah 2:41; 2:89).  Yet, it somehow manages to assert that Allah’s words have been changed and the Bible is not trustworthy.  This obvious inconsistency cannot be explained logically by Muslims. Yet, they continue to hold that the Bible is has been altered.
    1. Summary
      1. None can change Allah’s words (Surah 6:34; Surah 6:115; Surah 18:27)
      2. Jesus was given the gospel by Allah (Surah 57:27)
      3. The Quran confirms the Gospels (Surah 5:48) and those scriptures that were presently with them (Surah 2:41; 2:89 )
      4. The Gospels contradict the Quran
    2. Allah gave David the Psalms
      1. Surah 4:163, We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms.
    3. Changed and distorted by Christians and Jews
      1. “Narrated Ubaidullah: Ibn ‘Abbas said, “Why do you ask the people of the scripture about anything while your Book (Quran) which has been revealed to Allah’s Apostle is newer and the latest? You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, ‘It is from Allah,’ to sell it for a little gain. Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #92, Hadith #461)
    4. Criterion of truth
      1. Surah 10:94, “If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt.”
    5. Gave Moses the Torah
      1. Surah 2:87, “We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride? – Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!”
      2. Surah 40:53-54, “We did aforetime give Moses the (Book of) Guidance, and We gave the book in inheritance to the Children of Israel 54 A Guide and a Message to men of Understanding.”
    6. Gave Jesus the gospel
      1. Surah 57:27, “Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors.”
    7. None can alter the words of Allah
      1. Surah 6:34, “Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers.”
      2. Surah 6:115, “The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfillment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.”
      3. Surah 10:64, “For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity.”
      4. Surah 18:27, “And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him.”
    8. Bible was with and/or in possession of the Jews in Muhammad’s day
      1. Surah 2:41, “And believe in what I reveal, confirming the revelation which is with you, and be not the first to reject Faith therein, nor sell My Signs for a small price; and fear Me, and Me alone.”
      2. Surah 2:89, “And when there comes to them a Book from Allah, confirming what is with them [Book of Moses per Surah 2:87] – although from of old they had prayed for victory against those without Faith – when there comes to them that which they (should) have recognised, they refuse to believe in it but the curse of Allah is on those without Faith.”
    9. Believe the Scriptures that came before Muhammad
      1. Surah 4:136, “O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Apostle, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Apostles, and the Day of Judgement, hath gone far, far astray.”
    10. Believe in the Old and New Testament
      1. Surah 3:84, “Say: “We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).”
    11. Confirmed by the Quran
      1. Confirms scriptures then in their possession
        1. Surah 2:41, “And believe in what I reveal, confirming the revelation which is with you, and be not the first to reject Faith therein, nor sell My Signs for a small price; and fear Me, and Me alone.”
        2. Surah 2:89, “And when there comes to them a Book from Allah, confirming what is with them – although from of old they had prayed for victory against those without Faith – when there comes to them that which they (should) have recognised, they refuse to believe in it but the curse of Allah is on those without Faith.”
      2. Surah 2:101, “And when there came to them an apostle from Allah, confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if (it had been something) they did not know!”
      3. Surah 3:3, “It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment between right and wrong).”
      4. Surah 5:48, “To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah. It is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute.”
    12. The written form changed by hand
      1.  Ibn Abbas said, “O Muslims? How do you ask the people of the Scriptures, though your Book (i.e. the quran) which was revealed to His Prophet is the most recent information from Allah and you recite it, the Book that has not been distorted? Allah has revealed to you that the people of the scriptures have changed with their own hands what was revealed to them and they have said (as regards their changed Scriptures): This is from Allah, in order to get some worldly benefit thereby.” Ibn Abbas added: “Isn’t the knowledge revealed to you sufficient to prevent you from asking them? By Allah I have never seen any one of them asking (Muslims) about what has been revealed to you.”  (Sahih Bukari, Book #48, Hadith #850, Narrated Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utba)
    13. Dispute not with the people of the Book
      1. Surah 29:46, “And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say, “We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam).”
    14. People of the Gospel judge by what is in the gospel
      1. Surah 5:47, “Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.”
      2. Surah 5:68, “Say: “O People of the Book! Ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord.” It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.
    15. People of the Book
      1. Rejected the Quran
        1. Surah 2:101, “And when there came to them an apostle from Allah, confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if (it had been something) they did not know!”
      2. Don’t associate partners with Allah
        1. Surah 3:64, Say: “O People of the Book!
      3. Don’t believe in Allah for no good reason
        1. Surah 5:59, Say: “O people of the Book! Do ye disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and the revelation that hath come to us and that which came before (us), and (perhaps) that most of you are rebellious and disobedient?”
  6. Christians – In Islam, Christians are idolators because they believe in the Trinity and the deity of Christ.  Christians are considered unbelievers who have corrupted the Bible and deny the truth. Islam teaches that Christians, along with Jews, Christians are the enemies of God and eventually must submit to Allah or face eternal damnation.
    1. Are compassionate and merciful
      1. Surah 57:27, “Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our apostles: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy.
    2. Are nearest to friendship with Muslims
      1. Surah 5:82, Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, “We are Christians”: because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.”
    3. Are not true believers because they believe in the deity of Christ
      1. Surah 5:17, “In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: “Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every—one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things.”
    4. Are unbelievers
      1. Surah 98:6, “Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.”
    5. Are wrong for believing in the Trinity
      1. Surah 4:171, “O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not “Trinity”: desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.”
    6. Ask Christians if in doubt about the Quran
      1. Surah 10:94, “If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt.”
    7. Call Jesus the son of Allah
      1. Surah 9:30, “The Jews call ‘Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!”
    8. Changed and distorted the Scriptures
      1. Narrated Ubaidullah: Ibn ‘Abbas said, “Why do you ask the people of the scripture about anything while your Book (Quran) which has been revealed to Allah’s Apostle is newer and the latest? You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, ‘It is from Allah,’ to sell it for a little gain. Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #92, Hadith #461)
    9. Condemned for worshipping Jesus
      1. “…Then the christians would be summoned and it would be said to them: What did you worship? They would say: We worshipped Jesus, son of Allah. It would be said to them: You tell a lie; Allah did not take for Himself either a spouse or a son. Then it would be said to them: What do you want? They would say: Thirsty we are, O our Lord! Quench our thirst. They would be directed (to a certain direction) and asked: Why don’t you go there to get water? But they would be pushed and gathered together towards the Hell, which was like a mirage to them, and the flames would consume one another. They would fall Into the Fire, till no one is left except he who worshipped Allah, be he pious or sinful…” (Sahih Muslim, Book #001, Hadith #0352).
    10. Cursed because they made the graves of their apostles places of worship
      1. “Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Let there be curse of Allah upon the Jews and the christians for they have taken the graves of their apostles as places of worship.  (Book #004, Hadith #1081)
    11. Do not take Christians as friends
      1. Surah 5:51, “O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.”
    12. Do the opposite of what Christians do
      1. “Narrated Abu Huraira : The Prophet said, “Jews and christians do not dye their hair so you should do the opposite of what they do.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #72, Hadith #786)
    13. Don’t greet Christians, force them to the narrowest part of the road
      1. “Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do not greet the Jews and the christians before they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads force him to go to the narrowest part of it.  (Book #026, Hadith #5389)
    14. Have gone astray
      1. “Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “Say Amen’ when the Imam says “Ghair-il-maghdubi ‘alaihim wala-ddal-lin; not the path of those who earn Your Anger (such as Jews) nor of those who go astray (such as christians); all the past sins of the person whose saying (of Amin) coincides with that of the angels, will be forgiven.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #12, Hadith #749)
    15. Have the scriptures from God
      1. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.”
    16. Will have their reward
      1. Surah 2:62, “Those who believe (in the Qur’an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians – any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.”
  7. Cosmology – Cosmology is the study of the universe, solar systems, Earth, etc. Islamic cosmology is laid out in the Quran and the hadith. In those two sources we discover that Islam teaches there are seven heavens, seven earths, that the earth is flat, and that it sits on a whale. Instead of reflecting an objective and accurate set of truths revealed by the God of the universe, Islamic cosmology reflects the superstitions of the time and demonstrates that Muhammad would not inspired.
    1. Seven Heavens, one on top of another
      1. Surah 23:86, “Say: “Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?”
      2. Surah 67:3, “He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw?”
      3. Surah 71:15, “See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another.”
    2. Seven heavens are visible from earth
      1. Surah 67:3, “He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw?”
      2. Surah 71:15, “See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another.”
    3. Seven earths
      1. Surah 65:12, “Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge.”
    4. Earth created in two days
      1. Surah 41:9, “Say: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds.”
    5. Earth is flat
      1. Surah 20:53, “He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky.” With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others.
      2. Surah 71:19, “‘And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out).”
        1. Note:  “As for His words sutihat, ‘laid out flat’, this on a literal reading suggests that the earth is flat, which is the opinion of most of the scholars of the [revealed] Law, and not a sphere as astronomers (ahl al-hay’a) have it, even if this [latter] does not contradict any of the pillars of the Law.” (http://www.4truth.net/fourtruthpbworld.aspx?pageid=8589953039)
    6. Earth sits on a whale
      1. “Muhammad reported from Ahmad, from ibn Mahbub, from Jamil ibn Salih, from Aban ibn Taghlib, from Abu Abd Allah (upon whom be peace), who said, I asked him about the earth: Upon which does it stand forth? To which he replied: It stands forth upon a whale. I asked: Upon which does the whale stand forth? To which he replied: Upon water. I asked: Upon which does water stand forth? To which he replied: Upon a rock. I asked: Upon which does the rock stand forth? To which he replied: Upon a bull’s smooth horn. I asked: Upon which does the bull stand forth? To which he replied: Upon the ground. I asked: Upon which does the ground stand forth? To which he replied: What an idea? Therewith is lost the knowledge of the men of knowledge.” (http://gift2shias.com/2012/04/17/national-shia-geographic/)
      2. And from his narration on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas that he said regarding the interpretation of Allah’s saying (Nun): ‘(Nun) He says: Allah swears by the Nun, which is the whale that carries the earths on its back while in Water, and beneath which is the Bull and under the Bull is the Rock and under the Rock is the Dust and none knows what is under the Dust save Allah. The name of the whale is Liwash, and it is said its name is Lutiaya’; the name of the bull is Bahamut, and some say its name is Talhut or Liyona. The whale is in a sea called ‘Adwad, and it is like a small bull in a huge sea. The sea is in a hollowed rock whereby there is 4,000 cracks, and from each crack water springs out to the earth. It is also said that Nun is one of the names of the Lord; it stands for the letter Nun in Allah’s name al-Rahman (the Beneficent); and it is also said that a Nun is an inkwell. (By the pen) Allah swore by the pen. This pen is made of light and its height is equal to the distance between Heaven and earth. It is with this pen that the Wise Remembrance, i.e. the Guarded Tablet, was written. It is also said that the pen is one of the angels by whom Allah has sworn, (and that which they write (therewith) and Allah also swore by what the angels write down of the works of the children of Adam.” (http://altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=73&tSoraNo=68&tAyahNo=1&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0)
    7. Falling stars drive away evil spirits
      1. Surah 67:5, “And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.”
    8. Heavens and earth created in six days
      1. Surah 10:3, “Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition?”
      2. Surah 11:7, “He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days – and His Throne was over the waters – that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. But if thou wert to say to them, “Ye shall indeed be raised up after death,” the Unbelievers would be sure to say, “This is nothing but obvious sorcery!”
    9. Lower heaven is the stars that guard agaisnt evil spirits
      1. Surah 37:6-7, “We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars 7 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits.”
    10. Space is vaste
      1. Surah 51:47, “With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace.”
    11. Big Bang?
      1. Surah 21:30, Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
    12. Structure of our world, firmament, seven heavens, seven earths
      1. Al-Hasan narrated that: Abu Hurairah said: “Once when the Prophet of Allah was sitting with his Companions, a cloud came above them, so the Prophet of Allah said: ‘Do you know what this is?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘These are the clouds that are to drench the earth, which Allah [Blessed and Most High] dispatches to people who are not grateful to Him, nor supplicate to Him.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is above you?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Indeed it is a preserved canopy of the firmament whose surge is restrained.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know how much is between you and between it?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Between you and it [is the distance] of five-hundred year.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is above that.’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Verily, above that are two Heavens, between the two of them there is a distance of five-hundred years’ – until he enumerated seven Heavens – ‘What is between each of the two Heavens is what is between the heavens and the earth.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is above that?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Verily, above that is the Throne between it and the heavens is a distance [like] what is between two of the heavens.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is under you?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Indeed it is the earth.’ Then he said: ‘Do you know what is under that?’ They said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know better.’ He said: ‘Verily, below it is another earth, between the two of which is a distance of five-hundred years.’ Until he enumerated seven earths: ‘Between every two earths is a distance of five-hundred years.’ Then he said: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! If you were to send [a man] down with a rope to the lowest earth, then he would descend upon Allah.’ Then he recited: He is Al-Awwal, Al-Akhir, Az-Zahir Al-Batin, and He has knowledge over all things.”(Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 44 Hadith 3298, https://muflihun.com/tirmidhi/44/3298)
    13. Universe was smoke (‘as’ is not in the arabic. It is added in)
      1. Surah 41:11, “Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: “Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly.” They said: “We do come (together), in willing obedience.”
  8. Crucifixion – Islam teaches Jesus was not crucified (Surah 4:157). Instead, Allah made someone look like Jesus who was then crucified. This means that Allah perpetrated a deception by his own hand when he made someone appear to be Jesus who was not really Jesus (Surah 4:157). Furthermore, Christianity then exists because of Allah’s deception. Yet, the Quran says in Surah 5:51 to not take Jews and Christians as friends of Muslims. If Allah does not want Muslims to take Jews and Christians as friends, why did Allah do what was necessary to promote Christianity and have it spread around the world? It does not make any sense.
    1. Jesus was not crucified
      1. Surah 4:157, “That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of Allah’ – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.”
    2. Someone made to look like Jesus
    3. Crucifixion is for
      1. Those against Islam
        1. Surah 5:33, “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter.”
      2. For Muslims who have committed adultery, murder, and who left Islam and war against it.
        1. “The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: “It is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim except in three cases: An adulterer who had been married, who should be stoned to death; a man who killed another man intentionally, who should be killed; and a man who left Islam and waged war against Allah, the Might and Sublime, and His Messenger, who should be killed, or crucified, or banished from the land.” (Reference : Sunan an-Nasa’i 4048 In-book reference : Book 37, Hadith 83 English translation : Vol. 5, Book 37, Hadith 4053)
    4. Pharoah had people crucified
      1. Surah 20:71, “(Pharaoh) said: “Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? Surely this must be your leader, who has taught you magic! Be sure I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will have you crucified on trunks of palm-trees: so shall ye know for certain, which of us can give the more severe and the more lasting punishment!”
    5. Commentary
      1. “According to some commentators, when the Jewish authorities came to arrest Jesus, he was among a group of his followers. They did not know who among them was Jesus, because a Divine ruse had made them all appear the same, and one of Jesus’ followers was thus taken and killed in his place (IK, Ṭ, Z). Some accounts indicate that one of Jesus’ followers in particular volunteered to sacrifice himself by assuming Jesus’ likeness (IK, Ṭ, Z). According to one account, this follower was crucified (i.e., publicly exposed) after being killed (IK). This follows the order mentioned in the verse itself [Surah 4:157]: they did not slay him; nor did they crucify him, and in general, Muslims understood crucifixion as a punishment carried out after death in most, but not all, cases.Nasr, Seyyed Hossein; Dagli, Caner K.; Dakake, Maria Massi; Lumbard, Joseph E.B.; Rustom, Mohammed (2015-11-17). 9. Forgiveness – In Islam, forgiveness from Allah is mainly conditioned upon a combination of works and sincerity.  However, Allah is arbitrary in who he forgives (Surah 3:129; 5:18).  Muslims have no guarantee of entering into paradise unless they die in Jihad (Surah 49:1). Jihad is holy struggle, but when a Muslim gives his life in the advancement of Islam in battle, he is guaranteed paradise.  Other than that, Muslims can only that they’ve done enough good works to be forgiven of their sins (Surah 5:9; 22:50) and that they been sincere enough in the repentance (Surah 50:32-34; 66:8).  After all, it’s all up to a lie anyway can with them works and sincerity are no guarantee for salvation.
    1. Allah alone forgives sins
      1. Surah 3:135, “And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins – and who can forgive sins except Allah? – and are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in (the wrong) they have done.”
    2. Allah forgives who he wills.  He is arbitrary
      1. Surah 3:129, “To Allah belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth. He forgiveth whom He pleaseth and punisheth whom He pleaseth; but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
      2. Surah 5:18, “(Both) the Jews and the Christians say: “We are sons of Allah, and his beloved.” Say: “Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men – of the men he hath created: He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and He punisheth whom He pleaseth: and to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between: and unto Him is the final goal (of all)”
    3. Forgiveness is only hoped for.
      1. Surah 26:82, “And who [Allah], I hope, will forgive me my faults on the day of Judgment.”
    4. Forgiveness is tied to believing in Allah
      1. Surah 46:31, “O our people, hearken to the one who invites (you) to Allah, and believe in him: He will forgive you your faults, and deliver you from a Penalty Grievous.”
    5. Forgiveness is tied to following Muhammad and Allah
      1. Surah 3:31-32, “Say: “If ye do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 32 Say: “Obey Allah and His Apostle”: But if they turn back, Allah loveth not those who reject Faith.”
      2. Surah 57:28, “O ye that believe! Fear Allah, and believe in His Apostle, and He will bestow on you a double portion of His Mercy: He will provide for you a Light by which ye shall walk (straight in your path), and He will forgive you (your past): for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
      3. Surah 61:11-12, ” That ye believe in Allah and His Apostle, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! 12 He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement.”
    6. Forgiveness is tied to good works
      1. Surah 5:9, “To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.”
      2. Surah 22:50, “Those who believe and work righteousness, for them is forgiveness and a sustenance most generous.”
      3. Surah 35:7, “For those who reject Allah, is a terrible Penalty: but for those who believe and work righteous deeds, is Forgiveness, and a magnificent Reward.”
    7. Forgiveness is tied to repentance
      1. Surah 5:39, “But if the thief repents after his crime, and amends his conduct, Allah turneth to him in forgiveness; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.”

    8. Forgiveness is tied to sincerity
      1. Surah 50:32-34, “(A voice will say:) “This is what was promised for you – for every one who turned (to Allah) in sincere repentance, who kept (His Law), 33 “Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him): 34 “Enter ye therein in Peace and Security; this is a Day of Eternal Life!”
      2. Surah 66:8, “O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow – the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, “Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things.”
    9. Forgiveness tied to the coincidental statement of words
      1. Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “If any one of you says, “Amin” and the angels in the heavens say “Amin” and the former coincides with the latter, all his past sins will be forgiven.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #12, Hadith #748)
    10. Forgiveness by dying in jihad
      1. Surah 49:15, “Only those are Believers who have believed in Allah and His Apostle, and have never since doubted, but have striven with their belongings and their persons in the Cause of Allah: Such are the sincere ones, Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation?
      2. Surah 61:10-12, “O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty? 11 That ye believe in Allah and His Apostle, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! 12 He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement.”
    11. Forgiveness by reciting a sentence
      1. “The Prophet said “The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: ‘Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu, A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, abu’u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu Laka bidhanbi faghfirli innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta.” The Prophet added. “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 75, Number 318; Narrated Shaddad bin Aus)
    12. Forgiveness by praying on the night of Qadr
      1. Allah’s Apostle said,”Whoever establishes the prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards (not to show off) then all his past sins will be forgiven.” (Sahih BukhariBook #2, Hadith #34; Narrated Abu Huraira)
    13. Forgiveness by prayers during Ramadan

  10. Gospel – The gospel is never explained in the Quran nor the Haidth.  Christians consider the gospel to be the message of salvation (1 Cor. 15:1-4) and also the whole of the teachings of Christ found in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.  But Muslims denies this. According to Islam, the gospel was given to Jesus by Allah and is not to be equated with the four Gospels found in the New Testament. However, they don’t know if the “real” gospel of Jesus was ever written down.  So, they say Jesus was given the gospel from Allah but they don’t know what that gospel is.
    1. Allah will teach them the gospel
      1. Surah 3:48, “And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel.”
    2. Gospel sent from Allah
    3. Judge by the gospel
      1. Surah 5:47, “Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.”
    4. Gospel revealed to Abraham
      1. Surah 3:65, “Ye People of the Book! Why dispute ye about Abraham, when the Law and the Gospel Were not revealed till after him? Have ye no understanding?”
    5. Gospel revealed to Jesus
      1. Surah 5:46, “And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.”
      2. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors.
    6. Gospels mention Muhammad
      1. Surah 7:157, “Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper.”
    7. The gospels were in Arabic at the time of Muhammad
      1. The Prophet returned to Khadija while his heart was beating rapidly. She took him to Waraqa bin Naufal who was a Christian convert and used to read the gospels in Arabic Waraqa asked (the Prophet), “What do you see?” When he told him, Waraqa said, “That is the same angel whom Allah sent to the Prophet) Moses. Should I live till you receive the Divine Message, I will support you strongly.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #55, Hadith #605; Narrated ‘Aisha)
  11. Holy Spirit – In Islam, the Holy Spirit is not the same as in Christianity. In Islam, the Holy Spirit is from Allah but is more like his breath. It is not self-aware. That is why Islam teaches that the Holy Spirit strengthened Jesus as well as others, and that the Spirit of God was breathed into Adam and Mary. In Christianity, the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. But Islam denies the Trinity and therefore says the Holy Spirit is a force, a presence.
    1. Brought the revelation to Muhammad
      1. Surah 16:102, “Say, the Holy Spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims.”
    2. Strengthened Jesus
      1. Surah 2:87, “We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you an apostle with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride? – Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!”
      2. Surah 2:253, ” Those apostles We endowed with gifts, some above others: To one of them Allah spoke; others He raised to degrees (of honour); to Jesus the son of Mary We gave clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit. If Allah had so willed, succeeding generations would not have fought among each other, after clear (Signs) had come to them, but they (chose) to wrangle, some believing and others rejecting. If Allah had so willed, they would not have fought each other; but Allah Fulfilleth His plan.”
      3. Surah 5:110, “Then will Allah say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity….”
    3. Strengthens others
      1. Surah 58:22, “Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Apostle, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself.. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity.
    4. Spirit of God
      1. Breathed into Adam
      2. Surah 38:72, “When I have fashioned him [Adam] (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him.”
      3. Surah 15:29, “When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him.”
    5. Breathed into Man
      1. Surah 32:9, “But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!”
    6. Breathed into Mary to make Jesus
      1. Surah 21:91, “And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples.
      2. Surah 66:12, “And Mary the daughter of ‘Imran, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations, and was one of the devout (servants).”
    7. Spirit of Inspiration
      1. Surah 40:15, “Raised high above ranks (or degrees), (He is) the Lord of the Throne (of Authority): by His Command doth He send the Spirit (of inspiration) to any of His servants he pleases, that it may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting.”
  12. Hygiene –  Muslims participate in ritual washing along with various forms of personal hygiene including grooming the pubic hair, armpit hair, mustaches, and cutting the nails. There are various requirements for women during their monthly period.  In addition, Muslims have a ritual cleansing in preparation for prayer and fasting where they use water and or dirt.
    1. Allah loves those who keep themselves pure and clean (context of women’s mensus)
      1. Surah 2:222, “They ask thee concerning women’s courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.”
    2. Call of nature
      1. Face east or west when in open space
        1. “Allah’s Apostle said, “If anyone of you goes to an open space for answering the call of nature he should neither face nor turn his back towards the Qibla; he should either face the east or the west.” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 4, Number #146: Narrated Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari)
        2. “Once I went upstairs in Hafsa’s house and saw the Prophet answering the call of nature with his back towards the Qibla and facing Sham.” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Number #334: Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar)
    3. Camel Urine as medicine
      1. “Some people from the tribe of ‘Ukl came to the Prophet and embraced Islam. The climate of Medina did not suit them, so the Prophet ordered them to go to the (herd of milch) camels of charity and to drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). They did so, and after they had recovered from their ailment (became healthy) they turned renegades (reverted from Islam) and killed the shepherd of the camels and took the camels away. The Prophet sent (some people) in their pursuit and so they were (caught and) brought, and the Prophets ordered that their hands and legs should be cut off and that their eyes should be branded with heated pieces of iron, and that their cut hands and legs should not be cauterized, till they die.” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 82, Number #794,  Narrated Anas).
    4. Muhammad said that one wing of a house fly has a disease and the other wing has the cure
      1. The Prophet said “If a house fly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease,” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number #537, Narrated Abu Huraira.)
    5. Prayer preparation
      1. Surah 5:6, “O ye who believe! When ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.”
    6. Tradition of personal hygiene
      1. “The Prophet said “Five things are in accordance with Al Fitra (i.e. the tradition of prophets): to be circumcised, to shave the pelvic region, to pull out the hair of the armpits, to cut short the moustaches, and to clip the nails.’ (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 74, Number #312: Narrated Abu Huraira)
    7. Moustaches to be short
      1. “Allah’s Apostle said, “Cut the moustaches short and leave the beard (as it is).” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 72, Number #781: Narrated Ibn ‘Umar)
  13. Islam – Islam’s view of itself is that it is the superior religion and that all the world must bend the knee to Allah, even if it is by force. Furthermore, Muslims are taught that no one has the right to worship anything other than Allah, and that all people must be in subjection to the will of Allah.
    1. Allah’s religion is Islam:
      1. Surah 3:19, “The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His Will): Nor did the People of the Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Signs of Allah, Allah is swift in calling to account.”
      2. Surah 3:85, “If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).”
    2. Allah opens heart to believe in Islam
      1. Surah 6:125, “Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide – He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying – He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.”
    3. Islam is to be proclaimed over all religions
      1. Surah 9:33, “It is He Who hath sent His Apostle with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).”
      2. Surah 48:28, “It is He Who has sent His Apostle with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion: and enough is Allah for a Witness.”
      3. Surah 61:9, “It is He Who has sent His Apostle with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).”

    5. Fight all people till they worship Allah-I’m sorry
      1. Allah ‘s Apostle said, “I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah,’ and whoever says, ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah,’ his life and property will be saved by me except for Islamic law, and his accounts will be with Allah, (either to punish him or to forgive him.)”  (Sahih Bukhar, Book #52, Hadith #196, Narrated Abu Huraira)
    6. Old Testament Prophets were Muslims
      1. Surah 3:67, “Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah’s (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah.”
      2. Surah 5:44, “It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah’s will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah.s book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers.”
  14. Jesus – In Islam, Jesus is only a messenger of Allah (Surah 4:171), a prophet (Surah 19:30). Muslims deny that Jesus is both God and man. They also deny that he was crucified (Surah 4:157).  To them, Jesus was a Muslim who was born of the virgin (Surah 19:20-22) and was sinless (Surah 19:19). They have a high view of him, but they deny who he really is according to the Bible.
    1. Allah taught him the Law and Gospel

    2. Apostle/Messenger of Allah
And enough is Allah as Disposer of affairs.”
      2. Surah 5:75, “Christ the son of Mary was no more than an apostle; many were the apostles that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!”
    3. Ascended into heaven
      1. Surah 3:55, “Behold! Allah said: “O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.”

Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors.
    13. Jesus is Allah’s Spirit

Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it.” Abu Huraira added “If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): — ‘And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #55, Hadith #657; Narrated Abu Huraira)
      2. “Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my life, the son of mary (may peace be upon him) will soon descend among you as a just judge. He will break crosses, kill swine and abolish Jizya and the wealth will pour forth to such an extent that no one will accept it.”  (Sahih Muslim, Book #001, Hadith #0287)
    15. Made a bird from clay, healed the blind, the lepers, and raised the dead
      1. Surah 3:49, “And (appoint him) an apostle to the Children of Israel, (with this message): ‘I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah’s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! Thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold!
    23. Strengthened by the Holy Spirit
      2. Surah 2:253, “Those apostles We endowed with gifts, some above others: To one of them Allah spoke; others He raised to degrees (of honour); to Jesus the son of Mary We gave clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit.
Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! Thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! Thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: ‘This is nothing but evident magic.’
    24. Superiority of Jesus
    25. Word from Allah
      1. Surah 3:45, “what Behold! The angels said: “O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.”
  15. Lying – Generally speaking, lying is shunned in Islam. However, there is a practice called taqiyya where lying is permissible under three conditions: battle, reconciliation of people, reconciling of spouses.  Muhammad advocated lying and he said lying against him would result going to hell. But generally, lying is to be shunned. However, the Christian must be aware that a Muslim can practice lying in order to advance Islam.
    1. Shun what is false
      1. Surah 22:30, “Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honours the sacred rites of Allah, for him it is good in the Sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in Pilgrimage) are cattle, except those mentioned to you (as exception): but shun the abomination of idols, and shun the word that is false.”
    2. Lying against Allah is forbidden
      1. Surah 6:93, “Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah, or saith, “I have received inspiration,” when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, “I can reveal the like of what Allah hath revealed”? If thou couldst but see how the wicked (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death!—the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying),“Yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward—a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against Allah, and scornfully to reject of His signs!”
    3. Lying against Muhammad gets you hell
      1. Narrated Al-Mughira: I heard the Prophet saying, “Ascribing false things to me is not like ascribing false things to anyone else. Whosoever tells a lie against me intentionally then surely let him occupy his seat in Hell-Fire.” I heard the Prophet saying, “The deceased who is wailed over is tortured for that wailing.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #23, Hadith #378)
    4. Lying forbidden except in three cases:  battle, reconciliation, to spouse
      1. “Humaid b. ‘Abd al-Rahman b. ‘Auf reported that his mother Umm Kulthum daughter of ‘Uqba b. Abu Mu’ait, and she was one amongst the first emigrants who pledged allegiance to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him), as saying that she heard Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: A liar is not one who tries to bring reconciliation amongst people and speaks good (in order to avert dispute), or he conveys good. Ibn Shihab said he did not hear that exemption was granted in anything what the people speak as lie but in three cases: in battle, for bringing reconciliation amongst persons and the narration of the words of the husband to his wife, and the narration of the words of a wife to her husband (in a twisted form in order to bring reconciliation between them).”  (Sahih Muslim, Book #032, Hadith #6303)
    5. Lying is okay if it makes peace between people
      1. Narrated Um Kulthum bint Uqba: That she heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #49, Hadith #857)
    6. Muhammad permitted lying
      1. Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: Allah’s Apostle said, “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” The Prophet said, “Yes,” Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). “The Prophet said, “You may say it.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #59, Hadith #369)
    7. Permissible under compulsion
      1. Surah 16:106, “Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief—except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith—but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty.”
    8. Permissible to break treaties
      1. Surah 9:3, “And an announcement from Allah and His Apostle, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage—that Allah and His Apostle dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith.”
    9. Practice of deceit is an optional – Taqiyyah
      1. Surah 3:28, “Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.”
        1. Note:  “Prudence [precaution] translates tuqāh, which some read as taqiyyah; the latter is more widely known and often translated “dissimulation,” though the word itself is etymologically related to “taking care” and “being wary” and is lexically related to taqwā, or reverence (see 2: 2c). Those who guard against them out of prudence are exempted if they fear death or great harm through persecution at the hands of the community in which they live, in which case they can hide their faith through words but not through actions, which is to say they can deny to others that they are Muslim, but they cannot then violate the major rules of Islam by, for example, murdering, stealing, or committing adultery under the cover of this denial (Q, R, Ṭ).(Nasr, Seyyed Hossein; Dagli, Caner K.; Dakake, Maria Massi; Lumbard, Joseph E.B.; Rustom, Mohammed (2015-11-17). 16. Man – Islam views humanity in much of the same way as does the Bible. In Islam, a lot breathed life into man, informed him from the dust of the ground. However, in the Quran, it also says That man develops in the womb in stages of 40 days and that he is formed from nothing, congealed blood, sperm, and water. Of course, there is much discrepancy. Unlike Christianity, Islam does not contain the doctrine of Original Sin sinful nature of mankind. In Islam, man is able to potentially please God through the sincerity of his own heart.
    1. Allah breathed life into man
      1. Surah 15:29, “When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him.”
    2. Determination of which parent the child looks like:  Note, that there is a male discharge and also a female discharge
      1. “When ‘Abdullah bin Salam heard the arrival of the Prophet at Medina, he came to him and said, “I am going to ask you about three things which nobody knows except a prophet: What is the first portent of the Hour? What will be the first meal taken by the people of Paradise? Why does a child resemble its father, and why does it resemble its maternal uncle” Allah’s Apostle said, “Gabriel has just now told me of their answers.” ‘Abdullah said, “He (i.e. Gabriel), from amongst all the angels, is the enemy of the Jews.” Allah’s Apostle said, “The first portent of the Hour will be a fire that will bring together the people from the east to the west; the first meal of the people of Paradise will be Extra-lobe (caudate lobe) of fish-liver. As for the resemblance of the child to its parents: If a man has sexual intercourse with his wife and gets discharge first, the child will resemble the father, and if the woman gets discharge first, the child will resemble her.” On that ‘Abdullah bin Salam said, “I testify that you are the Apostle of Allah.” ‘Abdullah bin Salam further said, “O Allah’s Apostle! The Jews are liars, and if they should come to know about my conversion to Islam before you ask them (about me), they would tell a lie about me.” The Jews came to Allah’s Apostle and ‘Abdullah went inside the house. Allah’s Apostle asked (the Jews), “What kind of man is ‘Abdullah bin Salam amongst you?” They replied, “He is the most learned person amongst us, and the best amongst us, and the son of the best amongst us.” Allah’s Apostle said, “What do you think if he embraces Islam (will you do as he does)?” The Jews said, “May Allah save him from it.” Then ‘Abdullah bin Salam came out in front of them saying, “I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah.” Thereupon they said, “He is the evilest among us, and the son of the evilest amongst us,” and continued talking badly of him.” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith, Volume 4, Book 55, Number #546: Narrated Anas).
    3. Order of formation of a person in the womb
      1. dust, sperm, clot, morsel of flesh
        1. Surah 22:5, “O mankind! If ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).
      2. sperm, clot,
        1. Surah 75:37-38, “Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)? 38 Then did he become a leech-like clot; then did (Allah) make and fashion (him) in due proportion.
      3. sperm, clot, piece of flesh
        1. The Prophet said, “Allah has appointed an angel in the womb, and the angel says, ‘O Lord! A drop of discharge (i.e. of semen), O Lord! a clot, O Lord! a piece of flesh.’ And then, if Allah wishes to complete the child’s creation, the angel will say. ‘O Lord! A male or a female? O Lord! wretched or blessed (in religion)? What will his livelihood be? What will his age be?’ The angel writes all this while the child is in the womb of its mother.” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith, Volume 4, Book 55, Number 550: Narrated Anas bin Malik)
      4. Human development, after 40 days in the womb he becomes a clot of thick blood for another 40 days,  then he becomes a piece of flesh for 40 days, then the soul is breathed into the person.
        1. “Allah’s Apostle, the true and truly inspired said, “(as regards your creation), every one of you is collected in the womb of his mother for the first forty days, and then he becomes a clot for an other forty days, and then a piece of flesh for an other forty days. Then Allah sends an angel to write four words: He writes his deeds, time of his death, means of his livelihood, and whether he will be wretched or blessed (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into his body. So a man may do deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it, and then what has been written (by the angel) surpasses, and so he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and enters Paradise. Similarly, a person may do deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it, and then what has been written (by the angel) surpasses, and he starts doing deeds of the people of the (Hell) Fire and enters the (Hell) Fire.” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith, Volume 4, Book 55, Number #549: Narrated Abdullah)
        2. “Allah’s Apostle, the true and truly inspired said, “(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature’s) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do (good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise.” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith, Volume 4, Book 54, Number #430, Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Mus’ud)
    4. Produced from
      1. Nothing
        1. Surah 19:67, “But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?”
        2. Surah 52:35, “Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?”
      2. Clay
        1. Surah 15:26, “We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape.”
        2. Surah 17:61, “Behold! We said to the angels: “Bow down unto Adam”: They bowed down except Iblis: He said, “Shall I bow down to one whom Thou didst create from clay?”
        3. Surah 32:7, “He Who has made everything which He has created most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay.
      3. Congealed blood

      4. Dust
        1. Surah 3:59, “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: “Be.” And he was.”
        2. Surah 30:20, “Among His Signs in this, that He created you from dust; and then – behold, ye are men scattered (far and wide)!”
      5. Earth
        1. Surah 11:61, “To the Thamud People (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren. He said: “O my people! Worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. It is He Who hath produced you from the earth and settled you therein: then ask forgiveness of Him, and turn to Him (in repentance): for my Lord is (always) near, ready to answer.”
      6. Sperm
        1. Surah 16:4, “He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer!

        3. Surah 80:19, “From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions.”
        4. Surah 86:5-7, “Now let man but think from what he is created! 6 He is created from a drop emitted 7 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs.”
      7. Water
        1. Surah 21:30, “Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?”
  17. Marriage – Marriage and Islam is held in high regard. It is similar to the doctrine of marriage in Christianity.  However, Islam permits marriage up to four women where Christianity requires one man and one woman. Furthermore, in Islam a man is permitted to beat his wife for disloyalty and ill conduct (Surah 4:34). There is no such option for the woman. Muslims are not supposed to marry non-Muslims and they are not to force women into marriage. However, lying is permitted in Islamic marriage in order to harmonize the relationship between spouses.
    1. Adultery forbidden
      1. Surah 17:32, “Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils).”
    2. Can marry up to four women
      1. Surah 4:3, “If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice.”
    3. Can beat your wives
      1. Surah 4:34, “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband’s) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).”
    4. Can marry adopted son’s ex-wife
      1. Surah 33:37, “Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah and thy favour: “Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah.” But thou didst hide in thy heart that which Allah was about to make manifest: thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah’s command must be fulfilled.”
    5. Created by Allah
      1. Surah 25:54, “It is He Who has created man from water: then has He established relationships of lineage and marriage: for thy Lord has power (over all things).”
    6. Don’t marry non-muslims
      1. Surah 2:221, “Do not marry unbelieving women (idolaters), until they believe: A slave woman who believes is better than an unbelieving woman, even though she allures you. Nor marry (your girls) to unbelievers until they believe: A man slave who believes is better than an unbeliever, even though he allures you. Unbelievers do (but) beckon you to the Fire. But Allah beckons by His Grace to the Garden (of bliss) and forgiveness, and makes His Signs clear to mankind: That they may celebrate His praise.”
    7. Don’t marry women against their will
      1. Surah 4:19, “O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should ye treat them with harshness, that ye may Take away part of the dower ye have given them—except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and Allah brings about through it a great deal of good.”
    8. Don’t marry women already married, except if they are captured by a Muslim
      1. Surah 4:24, “Also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess: Thus hath Allah ordained (Prohibitions) against you: Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property—desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree Mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.”
    9. Dowry
      1. Surah 4:4, “And give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift;; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, Take it and enjoy it with right good cheer.”
    10. Dwell in harmony with spouse
      1. Surah 30:21, “And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.”
    11. Fornication is forbidden
      1. Surah 24:2-3, “The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication—flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment. 3 Let no man guilty of adultery or fornication marry and but a woman similarly guilty, or an Unbeliever: nor let any but such a man or an Unbeliever marry such a woman: to the Believers such a thing is forbidden.”
      2. Surah 25:68, ‘Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication;;—and any that does this (not only) meets punishment.”
    12. Lying okay in marriage
    13. Marriages not according to Islam are not valid
      1. “Narrated ‘Umar bin Dinar: I was sitting with Jabir bin Zaid and ‘Amr bin Aus, and Bjalla was narrating to them in 70 A.H. the year when Musab bin Az-Zubair was the leader of the pilgrims of Basra. We were sitting at the steps of Zam-zam well and Bajala said, “I was the clerk of Juz bin Muawiya, Al-Ahnaf’s paternal uncle. A letter came from ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab one year before his death; and it was read:– “Cancel every marriage contracted among the Magians between relatives of close kinship (marriages that are regarded illegal in Islam: a relative of this sort being called Dhu-Mahram.)” ‘Umar did not take the Jizya from the Magian infidels till ‘Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Auf testified that Allah’s Apostle had taken the Jizya from the Magians of Hajar.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #53, Hadith #384)
    14. Marry only single women
      1. Surah 24:32, “Marry those among you who are single, or the virtuous ones among yourselves, male or female: if they are in poverty, Allah will give them means out of His grace: for Allah encompasseth all, and he knoweth all things.”
    15. Muhammad consumated marriage with Khadija when she was nine
      1. “Narrated Hisham’s father: Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married ‘Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #58, Hadith #236)
  18. Mary – In Islam Mary holds a very high place. She is the one who bore Jesus the prophet and she was breathed into by Allah.  She reached perfection and was not touched by Satan as all other people are, except Jesus. Unfortunately, Muhammad got the idea that somehow Mary was involved in being worshiped, possibly as a member of the Trinity, which he denounced. In all, Islam elevates Mary and gives her her great reverence.
    1. An angel sent to Mary
      1. Surah 19:17, “She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.”
    2. God breathed his spirit into Mary
      1. Surah 21:91, “And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples.” Yusuf Ali
      2. Surah 66:12, “And Mary the daughter of ‘Imran, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations, and was one of the devout (servants).”
    3. Mary is the sister of Aaron
      1. Surah 19:27-28, “At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: “O Mary! Truly an amazing thing hast thou brought! 28. “O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!”
    4. Worship Mary as God is wrong
For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.”
    5. Reached perfection
      1. Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ashari: The Prophet said, “The superiority of ‘Aisha to other ladies is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. meat and bread dish) to other meals. Many men reached the level of perfection, but no woman reached such a level except mary, the daughter of Imran and Asia, the wife of Pharaoh.” Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “Amongst all those women who ride camels (i.e. Arabs), the ladies of Quraish are the best. They are merciful and kind to their off-spring and the best guardians of their husbands’ properties.’ Abu Huraira added, “mary the daughter of Imran never rode a camel.”  (Book #55, Hadith #643)
    6. Mary was not touched by Satan
      1. Abu Huraira said, “The Prophet said, ‘No child is born but that, Satan touches it when it is born where upon it starts crying loudly because of being touched by Satan, except mary and her Son.” Abu Huraira then said, “Recite, it you wish: “And I seek Refuge with You (Allah) for her and her offspring from Satan, the outcast.” (3.36)  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #60, Hadith #71, Narrated Said bin Al-Musaiyab)
  19. Muhammad – Islam Teaches that Muhammad was the greatest of all prophets, greater than even Jesus. However, Muhammad was sinful where Jesus was not. In the shahada all people are called to acknowledge Allah and Muhammad as his prophet.  He is called the slave of Allah yet he receives praise and to obey Muhammad is to obey Allah (Surah 4:80). Furthermore, Islam claims that Muhammad was prophecied in the Bible.  The only way he was prophecied in the Bible, was as a false prophet (Matthew 24:24).  Muslims believe that Muhammad is the greatest of all prophets of God and ought to be acknowledged as such by all people in the world.
    1. An example of proper conduct
      1. Surah 33:21, “Ye have indeed in the Apostle of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.”
    2. Best guidance is from Muhammad
      1. “Jabir b. Abdullah said: When Allah’s Messenger (may peace he upon him) delivered the sermon, his eyes became red, his voice rose. and his anger increased so that he was like one giving a warning against the enemy and saying:” The enemy has made a morning attack on you and in the evening too.” He would also say:” The last Hour and I have been sent like these two.” and he would join his forefinger and middle finger; and would further say:” The best of the speech is embodied in the Book of Allah, and the beet of the guidance is the guidance given by Muhammad. And the most evil affairs are their innovations; and every innovation is error.” He would further say:, I am more dear to a Muslim even than his self; and he who left behind property that is for his family. and he who dies under debt or leaves children (in helplessness). the responsibility (of paying his debt and bringing up his children) lies on me.”  (Book #004, Hadith #1885)
    3. Don’t annoy Muhammad
      1. Surah 33:57, “Those who annoy Allah and His Apostle – Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.”
    5. Muhammad could write
      1. Narrated Ubaidullah bin ‘Abdullah: Ibn Abbas said, “When Allah’s Apostle was on his deathbed and there were some men in the house, he said, ‘Come near, I will write for you something after which you will not go astray.‘ Some of them ( i.e. his companions) said, ‘Allah’s Apostle is seriously ill and you have the (Holy) quran. Allah’s Book is sufficient for us.’ So the people in the house differed and started disputing. Some of them said, ‘Give him writing material so that he may write for you something after which you will not go astray.’ while the others said the other way round. So when their talk and differences increased, Allah’s Apostle said, “Get up.” Ibn Abbas used to say, “No doubt, it was very unfortunate (a great disaster) that Allah’s Apostle was prevented from writing for them that writing because of their differences and noise.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #59, Hadith #717)
    6. Muhammad was nearest to Jesus than all other people
      1. I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “I am the nearest of all the people to the son of mary, and all the prophets are paternal brothers, and there has been no prophet between me and him (i.e. Jesus).”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #55, Hadith #651, Narrated Abu Huraira)
    7. Obey Muhammad is to obey Allah
      1. Surah 4:80, “He who obeys the Apostle, obeys Allah: But if any turn away, We have not sent thee to watch over their (evil deeds).”

    10. Slave of Allah
      1. “…Abu Sufyan added, “Caesar then asked for the letter of Allah’s Apostle and it was read. Its contents were:– “In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful (This letter is) from Muhammad, the slave of Allah, and His Apostle, to Heraculius, the Ruler of the Byzantine. Peace be upon the followers of guidance…” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #52, Hadith #191: Narrated Abdullah bin Abbas)
      2. “I heard the Prophet saying, “Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #55, Hadith #654: Narrated ‘Umar)
    11. Was a sinner
      1. Surah 48:1-2, “Verily We have granted thee a manifest Victory: 2 That Allah may forgive thee thy faults of the past and those to follow; fulfill His favour to thee; and guide thee on the Straight Way.”
      2. Surah 40:55, “Patiently, then, persevere: for the Promise of Allah is true: and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and celebrate the Praises of thy Lord in the evening and in the morning.”
    12. Was mentioned in the Bible
      1. Surah 7:157, “Those who follow the apostle, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) – in the law and the Gospel – for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him – it is they who will prosper.”
      2. Surah 20:133, “They say: “Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?” Has not a Clear Sign come to them of all that was in the former Books of revelation?”
  20. Muslims – Muslims are supposed to be the true believers in the true God.  The word “Muslim” means one who submits.  So, a Muslim is someone who is submitting to the will of Allah.  Of course, Allah is a false God, so Muslims are submitting their lives and their souls to something that is false. Nevertheless, Muslims are supposed to follow what the Quran says and follow the example of Muhammad (Surah 33:21).
    1. Are to believe in the Revelation sent before Muhammad’s time.
      1. Surah 2:2-4, “This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah; 3 Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; 4 And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter.”
    2. Avoid harming other Muslims
      1. Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr: The Prophet said, “A muslim is the one who avoids harming muslims with his tongue and hands. And a Muhajir (emigrant) is the one who gives up (abandons) all what Allah has forbidden.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #2, Hadith #9)
      2.  Narrated Al-Ahnaf bin Qais:  While I was going to help this man (‘Ali Ibn Abi Talib), Abu Bakra met me and asked, “Where are you going?” I replied, “I am going to help that person.” He said, “Go back for I have heard Allah’s Apostle saying, ‘When two muslims fight (meet) each other with their swords, both the murderer as well as the murdered will go to the Hell-fire.’ I said, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! It is all right for the murderer but what about the murdered one?’ Allah’s Apostle replied, “He surely had the intention to kill his companion.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #2, Hadith #30)
    3. Bow to the will of Allah
      1. Surah 2:128, “Our Lord! Make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.”
    4. If three of a Muslim’s children die before puberty, he will be granted Paradise.
      1. Allah’s Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, “Any muslim whose three children died before the age of puberty will be granted Paradise by Allah because of His mercy to them.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #23, Hadith #463, Narrated Anas bin Malik)
    5. The Best Muslims learn and teach the Quran

      1. Surah 6:14, “Say: “Shall I take for my protector any other than Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? And He it is that feedeth but is not fed.” Say: “Nay! But I am commanded to be the first of those who  bow to Allah (in Islam), and be not thou of the company of those who join gods with Allah.”
      2. Surah 39:12, “And I [Muhammad] am commanded to be the first of those who bow to Allah in Islam.”
    7. First Muslim was Moses
      1. Surah 7:143, “When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: “O my Lord! Show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee.” Allah said: “By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me.” When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: “Glory be to Thee! To Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe.”
  21. Partners with Allah – In Islam the idea of Allah having partners (Trinity), is a lie and an unforgivable sin. The Quran teaches that the Trinity is three gods (Surah 4:171), even though that is not what it actually is according to Christianity. Islam misrepresents the Christian perspective.  The Trinity is not three gods. Nevertheless, Muhammad’s teachings in the Quran routinely deny that Allah has partners (polytheism) and taught that ascribing God is a Trinity is an unforgivable sin.
    1. Allah does not forgive that you set up partners with him
      1. Surah 4:48, “Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed.”
      2. Surah 4:116, “Allah forgiveth not (The sin of) joining other gods with Him; but He forgiveth whom He pleaseth other sins than this: one who joins other gods with Allah, Hath strayed far, far away (from the right).”
      3. Surah 11:55, “Other gods as partners! So scheme (your worst) against me, all of you, and give me no respite.”
    2. Associate no partners with Allah
      2. Surah 4:36, “Serve Allah, and join not any partners with Him; and do good—to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbours who are near, neighbours who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet), and what your right hands possess: For Allah loveth not the arrogant, the vainglorious.”
      3. Surah 6:162-163, “Say: “Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds. 163 No partner hath He: this am I commanded, and I am the first of those who bow to His will.”
      4. Surah 13:36, “Those to whom We have given the Book rejoice at what hath been revealed unto thee: but there are among the clans those who reject a part thereof. Say: “I am commanded to worship Allah, and not to join partners with Him. Unto Him do I call, and unto Him is my return.”
    3. Associating partners with Allah is a lie
      1. Surah 10:66, “Behold! Verily to Allah belong all creatures, in the heavens and on earth. What do they follow who worship as His “partners” other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy, and they do nothing but lie.
    4. Associating partners with Allah is a sin
      1. Surah 11:54-55, “We say nothing but that (perhaps) some of our gods may have seized thee with imbecility.” He said: “I call Allah to witness, and do ye bear witness, that I am free from the sin of ascribing, to Him, 55 “Other gods as partners! So scheme (your worst) against me, all of you, and give me no respite.”
      2. Surah 22:31, “Being true in faith to Allah, and never assigning partners to Him: if anyone assigns partners to Allah, is as if he had fallen from heaven and been snatched up by birds, or the wind had swooped (like a bird on its prey) and thrown him into a far-distant place.”
      3. Surah 42:21, “What! Have they partners (in godhead), who have established for them some religion without the permission of Allah? Had it not been for the Decree of Judgment, the matter would have been decided between them (at once). But verily the Wrong-doers will have a grievous Penalty.”
    5. Forbidden to associate partners with Allah
      1. Surah 7:33, “Say: the things that my Lord hath indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which He hath given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which ye have no knowledge.”
    6. Other
      1. Surah 6:78-79, “When he saw the sun rising in splendour, he said: “This is my Lord; this is the greatest (of all).” But when the sun set, he said: “O my people! I am indeed free from your (guilt) of giving partners to Allah. 79 “For me, I have set my face, firmly and truly, towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to Allah.”
      2. Surah 9:31, “They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him: (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).
      3. Surah 17:111, “Say: “Praise be to Allah, who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion: Nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!”
      4. “But the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) said to him: I rather hope that God will produce from their descendants such persons as will worship Allah, the One, and will not ascribe partners to Him.”  (Sahih Muslim, Book #019, Hadith #4425)
      5. Narrated ‘Ubada bin As-Samit: The Prophet “Whoever gets up at night and says: — ‘La ilaha il-lallah Wahdahu la Sharika lahu Lahu-l-mulk, waLahu-l-hamd wahuwa ‘ala kullishai’in Qadir. Alhamdu lil-lahi wa subhanal-lahi wa la-ilaha il-lal-lah wa-l-lahu akbar wa la hawla Wala Quwata il-la-bil-lah.’ (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. He is the Only One and has no partners. For Him is the Kingdom and all the praises are due for Him. He is Omnipotent. All the praises are for Allah. All the glories are for Allah. And none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, And Allah is Great And there is neither Might nor Power Except with Allah). And then says: — Allahumma, Ighfir li(O Allah! Forgive me). Or invokes (Allah), he will be responded to and if he performs ablution (and prays), his prayer will be accepted.”  (Sahih Muslim, Book #21, Hadith #253)
    7. Trinity
      1. Is Blasphemy
        1. Surah 5:73, “They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.”
      2. Mary part of the Trinity?
For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.”
      3. Say not trinity
  22. Quran – In Islam, the Quran is the most holy books. Muhammad claimed that it was revealed to him through the angel Gabriel. He would recite various verses that were then memorized and or written down on various materials. The Quran is supposed to confirm what came before it (Surah 3:3), be free from error (Surah 4:82), and is true guidance (Surah 2:2-5).  It’s laws and wisdom are supposed to be perfect.  However, the Quran is far from perfect. It teaches a man’s seed comes from his chest (Surah 86:5-7) and that Mary was the sister of Aaron (Surah 19:27-28).  Is it from God?
    1. A guide to mankind
      1. Surah 2:185, “Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur’an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.”
    2. Assembled by four men
      1. Narrated Qatada: Anas said, “The quran was collected in the lifetime of the Prophet by four (men), all of whom were from the Ansar: Ubai, Muadh bin Jabal, Abu Zaid and Zaid bin Thabit.” I asked Anas, “Who is Abu Zaid?” He said, “One of my uncles.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #58, Hadith #155)
    3. Assembled by Uthman
      1. Narrated Anas bin Malik: Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman came to Uthman at the time when the people of Sham and the people of Iraq were Waging war to conquer Arminya and Adharbijan. Hudhaifa was afraid of their (the people of Sham and Iraq) differences in the recitation of the Qur’an, so he said to ‘Uthman, “O chief of the Believers! Save this nation before they differ about the Book (quran) as Jews and the Christians did before.” So ‘Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying, “Send us the manuscripts of the Qur’an so that we may compile the Qur’anic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you.” Hafsa sent it to ‘Uthman. ‘Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, ‘Abdullah bin AzZubair, Said bin Al-As and ‘AbdurRahman bin Harith bin Hisham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies. ‘Uthman said to the three Quraishi men, “In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit on any point in the Qur’an, then write it in the dialect of Quraish, the Qur’an was revealed in their tongue.” They did so, and when they had written many copies, ‘Uthman returned the original manuscripts to Hafsa. ‘Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur’anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt. Said bin Thabit added, “A Verse from Surat Ahzab was missed by me when we copied the Qur’an and I used to hear Allah’s Apostle reciting it. So we searched for it and found it with Khuzaima bin Thabit Al-Ansari. (That Verse was): ‘Among the Believers are men who have been true in their covenant with Allah.’ (33.23)  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #61, Hadith #510)
    4. Collected on various materials
      1. Abu Bakr said, “By Allah, it is (really) a good thing. So I kept on arguing with him about it till Allah opened my bosom for that which He had opened the bosoms of Abu Bakr and Umar. So I started locating quranic material and collecting it from parchments, scapula, leaf-stalks of date palms and from the memories of men (who knew it by heart). I found with Khuzaima two Verses of Surat-at-Tauba which I had not found with anybody else, (and they were):– “Verily there has come to you an Apostle (Muhammad) from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty He (Muhammad) is ardently anxious over you (to be rightly guided)” (9.128) The manuscript on which the quran was collected, remained with Abu Bakr till Allah took him unto Him, and then with ‘Umar till Allah took him unto Him, and finally it remained with Hafsa, Umar’s daughter.  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #60, Hadith #201)
      2. Stop reciting it if you can’t agree on its interpretation
        1. Narrated Jundub: The Prophet said, “Recite (and study) the quran as long as you agree about its interpretation, but when you have any difference of opinion (as regards its interpretation and meaning) then you should stop reciting it (for the time being)’  (Book #61, Hadith #581)

      2. Surah 2:89, “And when there comes to them a Book from Allah, confirming what is with them – although from of old they had prayed for victory against those without Faith – when there comes to them that which they (should) have recognized, they refuse to believe in it but the curse of Allah is on those without Faith.”
    6. Don’t approach it hastily
      1. Surah 20:114, ” High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth! Be not in haste with the Qur’an before its revelation to thee is completed, but say, “O my Lord! advance me in knowledge.”

    9. Full of wisdom
      1. Surah 36:2, “By the Qur’an, full of Wisdom”
    10. If in doubt about the Quran, ask those who read the Bible
      1. Surah 10:94, “So if you (O Muhammad) are in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto you, [i.e., that your name is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] then ask those who are reading the Book [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before you. Verily, the truth has come to you from your Lord. So be not of those who doubt (it).”
    11. If not from Allah, there would be discrepensies
      1. Surah 4:82, ” Do they not consider the Qur’an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found therein Much discrepancy.”

Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His law), lest ye err. And Allah hath knowledge of all things.”
    15. No one can alter the words of Allah
      1. Surah 6:34, “Verily, (many) Messengers were denied before you (O Muhammad), but with patience they bore the denial, and they were hurt, till Our Help reached them, and none can alter the Words (Decisions) of Allah. Surely there has reached you the information (news) about the Messengers (before you).”

      1. Surah 69:43-46, “(This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. 44 And if the apostle were to invent any sayings in Our name, 45 We should certainly seize him by his right hand, 46 And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart.”
    18. Produced by Allah
      1. Surah 10:37, “This Qur’an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book – wherein there is no doubt – from the Lord of the worlds.”
    19. Revealed in Arabic
      1. Surah 12:2, “We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an, in order that ye may learn wisdom.”
      2. Surah 20:133, “Thus have We sent this down – an arabic Qur’an –  and explained therein in detail some of the warnings, in order that they may fear Allah, or that it may cause their remembrance (of Him).”

    21. Sent down during Ramadan
    22. True Guidance
      1. Surah 2:2-5, “This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah; 3 Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; 4 And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. 5 They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper.”
    23. What is the real Quran?
      1. “Hudhaifa was afraid of their differences in the recitation of the Qur’an…Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur’anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt,” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith, vol. 6, Book 61, #510, Narrated Anas bin Malik).
    24. Verses are explained in detail
      1. Surah 41:3, “A Book, whereof the verses are explained in detail;- a Qur’an in Arabic, for people who understand.”
  23. Ransom – the idea of ransom in Islam is unclear in Islam.  The concept of ransom for salvation is acknowledged but rejected and there are references to it in sacrifice.  What is particularly interesting is in the hadith how Jews and Christians are said to be ransom to Muslims in order for the Muslim’s escape hell.  But what is most interesting is how Allah ransomed Ishmael (Surah 37:104-107).  Who did Allah pay the ransom to?
    1. Concept of Ransom for salvation, acknowledged but not affirmed
      1. Surah 3:91, “As to those who reject Faith, and die rejecting – never would be accepted from any such as much gold as the earth contains, though they should offer it for ransom. For such is (in store) a penalty grievous, and they will find no helpers.”
      2. Surah 5:36, “As to those who reject Faith – if they had everything on earth, and twice repeated, to give as ransom for the penalty of the Day of Judgment, it would never be accepted of them, theirs would be a grievous penalty.
      3. Surah 39:47, “Even if the wrong-doers had all that there is on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom from the pain of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment: but something will confront them from Allah, which they could never have counted upon!”
      4. Surah 57:15, ““This Day shall no ransom be accepted of you, nor of those who rejected Allah.” Your abode is the Fire: that is the proper place to claim you: and an evil refuge it is!”
The Prophet passed by me and said, “Are the lice of your head troubling you?” I replied, Yes.” (The sub-narrator added, “Then the following Divine Verse was revealed: “And if anyone of you is ill or has an ailment in his scalp, (necessitating shaving) must pay a ransom (Fida) of either fasting or feeding the poor, Or offering a sacrifice.” (2.196)  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #59, Hadith #504).
    3. Ransom of Ishamael by Allah? (Who was Allah paying ransoming to?)
      1. Surah 37:104-107, We called out to him “O Abraham! 105 “Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!” – thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 106 For this was obviously a trial – 107 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 108 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times.”
    4. Jew and Christian a ransom to the Muslims to escape hell?
      1. “Abu Musa’ reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: When it will be the Day of Resurrection Allah would deliver to every Muslim a jew or a Christian and say: That is your rescue from Hell-Fire.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #037, Hadith #6665)
      2. Abu Burda reported on the authority of his father that Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: No Muslim would die but Allah would admit in his stead a jew or a Christian in Hell-Fire. ‘Umar b. Abd al-‘Aziz took an oath: By One besides Whom there is no god but He, thrice that his father had narrated that to him from Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him).  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #037, Hadith #6666)
  24. Reproduction – The process of human development as described in the Quran and in the hadith is a mixture of common sense and misinformation. Muhammad’s knowledge of human embryo development was faulty. He said that there were 40 day segments. After the first 40 days he becomes a clot and then a piece of flesh. But perhaps the most egregious error is Muhammad’s teaching the man’s seed proceeds from his chest (Surah 86:5-7). The Quran which is supposed to be a perfect book provides faulty information about human development and origins.
    1. Human development: clay, sperm, congealed blood, bones, flesh
      1. Surah 23:12-14, “Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 13 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 14 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create!
Similarly, a person may do deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it, and then what has been written (by the angel) surpasses, and he starts doing deeds of the people of the (Hell) Fire and enters the (Hell) Fire.” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith, Volume 4, Book 55, Number #549: Narrated Abdullah: )
And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise.” (Hadith, Volume 4, Book 54, Number #430: Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Mus’ud
    3. Stages in womb
      1. Surah 39:6, “He created you (all) from a single person: then created, of like nature, his mate; and he sent down for you eight head of cattle in pairs: He makes you, in the wombs of your mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness. such is Allah, your Lord and Cherisher: to Him belongs (all) dominion. There is no god but He: then how are ye turned away (from your true Centre)?”
    4. Stages of human development: dust, sperm, leech-like clot, flesh
      1. Surah 22:5, “O mankind! If ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).”
    5. Man created from sperm drop
      1. Surah 16:4, “He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer!”
      2. Surah 75:37-38, “Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)? 38 Then did he become a leech-like clot; then did (Allah) make and fashion (him) in due proportion.”
    6. Sperm comes from the chest area
      1. Surah 86:5-7, “Now let man but think from what he is created! 6. He is created from a drop emitted –  7 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs.”
  25. Salvation – In Islam is only through worship of Allah, accepting Muhammad as a prophet, doing good works, being sincere, repenting of sins, and hoping that Allah will forgive you. The only guarantee of salvation is by dying in jihad. Forgiveness of sins is obtained by Allah’s grace without a mediator. The Muslim must believe Allah exists, believe in the fundamental doctrines of Islam, believe that Muhammad is his prophet, and follow the commands of Allah given in the Quran in order to obtain salvation.
    1. Allah forgives all sins
      1. Surah 39:53, “Say: “O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
    2. By Seeking Allah’s forgiveness
      1. Surah 4:110, “If any one does evil or wrongs his own soul but afterwards seeks Allah’s forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.”
      2. Surah 11:52, “And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!”
    3. By Works and faith
      1. Surah 4:124, “If any do deeds of righteousness – be they male or female – and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them.”
      2. Surah 5:9, “To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.”
      3. Surah 11:11, “Not so do those who show patience and constancy, and work righteousness; for them is forgiveness (of sins) and a great reward.”
      4. Surah 33:70-71, “O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word directed to the Right: 71 That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: He that obeys Allah and His Apostle, has already attained the highest achievement.”
    4. Cannot be through Christ
      1. Surah 35:18, “Nor can a bearer of burdens bear another’s burdens if one heavily laden should call another to (bear) his load. Not the least portion of it can be carried (by the other). Even though he be nearly related. Thou canst but admonish such as fear their Lord unseen and establish regular Prayer. And whoever purifies himself does so for the benefit of his own soul; and the destination (of all) is to Allah.”
    5. Good deeds alone not enough
      1. “Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: None amongst you would attain salvation purely because of his deeds. A person said: Allah’s Messenger, even you also. Thereupon he said: Yes. Not even I, but that Allah wraps me in Mercy, but you should act with moderation. This badith has been transmitted on the authority of Bukair b. al-Ashajj with a slight variation of wording.”  (Sahih Muslim, Book #039, Hadith #6760)
      2. “Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: There is none amongst you whose deeds alone would attain salvation for him. They (the Companions) said: Allah’s Messenger, not even you? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Not even I, but that Allah wraps me in Mercy and He grants me pardon. Ibn ‘Aun pointed towards his head with his hand saying: Not even I, but that Allah wraps me in His Forgiveness and Mercy.” (Sahih Muslim, Book #039, Hadith #6762)
      3. “Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: There is none whose deeds alone can’secure salvation for him. They said: Allah’s Messenger, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that, the Mercy of Allah should take hold of me.”  (Sahih Muslim, Book #039, Hadith #6763)
    6. Repeating a sentence 100 times adds good works and removes bad ones.
      1. Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “If one says one-hundred times in one day: “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Alone Who has no partners, to Him belongs Dominion and to Him belong all the Praises, and He has power over all things (i.e. Omnipotent)”, one will get the reward of manumitting ten slaves, and one-hundred good deeds will be written in his account, and one-hundred bad deeds will be wiped off or erased from his account, and on that day he will be protected from the morning till evening from Satan, and nobody will be superior to him except one who has done more than that which he has done.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #54, Hadith #514)
    7. Scales of works
      1. Surah 23:102-103, “Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy – they will attain salvation: 103 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide.”
      2. Surah 21:47, “We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account.”
    8. Sincerity and repentance necessary
      2. Surah 4:17, “Allah accept the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will Allah turn in mercy: For Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.”
    9. Tied to faith in Muhammad
      1. Surah 4:13-14, “Those are limits set by Allah: those who obey Allah and His Apostle will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath,, to abide therein (for ever) and that will be the supreme achievement. 14 But those who disobey Allah and His Apostle and transgress His limits will be admitted to a Fire, to abide therein: And they shall have a humiliating punishment.”
      2. Surah 4:150-151, “Those who deny Allah and His apostles,, and (those who) wish to separate Allah from His apostles, saying: “We believe in some but reject others”: And (those who) wish to take a course midway – 151 They are in truth (equally) unbelievers; and we have prepared for unbelievers a humiliating punishment.”
      3. Surah 8:13, “This because they contended against Allah and His Apostle: If any contend against Allah and His Apostle, Allah is strict in punishment.”
      4. Surah 9:63, “Know they not that for those who oppose Allah and His Apostle, is the Fire of Hell?—wherein they shall dwell. That is the supreme disgrace.”
      5. Surah 33:70-71, “O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word directed to the Right: 71 That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: He that obeys Allah and His Apostle, has already attained the highest achievement.”
  26. Son of God – In response to the Christian doctrine that Jesus is the Son of God, Muhammad proclaimed that Allah could not have a son because he has no wife. He did not understand the Christian doctrine that the term “Son of God”.  It does not mean that God had a wife, but that Jesus is equal to God (John 5:18). If the Quran is supposed to be the inspired and inerrant word of Allah, then why does it misrepresent the Christian doctrine of Christ being the Son of God?
    1. Allah does not beget
      1. Surah 23:91, “No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!”
      2. Surah 19:35, “It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is.”
    2. Allah could have chosen to have a son
      1. Surah 39:4, “Had Allah wished to take to Himself a son, He could have chosen whom He pleased out of those whom He doth create: but Glory be to Him! (He is above such things.) He is Allah, the One, the Irresistible.”
    3. Allah cannot have a son without a consort
      1. Surah 6:100-101, “Yet they make the Jinns equals with Allah, though Allah did create the Jinns; and they falsely, having no knowledge, attribute to Him sons and daughters. Praise and glory be to Him! (for He is) above what they attribute to Him! 101. To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort? He created all things, and He hath full knowledge of all things.”
    4. Allah does not beget
      1. Surah 112:3, “He begetteth not, nor is He begotten.”
    5. Allah has no consort
      1. “They would say: We worshipped Jesus, son of Allah. It would be said to them: You tell a lie; Allah did not take for Himself either a spouse or a son.” (Sahih Muslim, (Book #001, Hadith #0352)
      2. Then it will be said to the Christians, ‘What did you use to worship?’ They will reply, ‘We used to worship Messiah, the son of Allah.’ It will be said, ‘You are liars, for Allah has neither a wife nor a son. (Sahih Bukhari, Book #93, Hadith #532s)
    6. Curse on those who say God has a son
  27. Unbelievers – In Islam, Non-Muslims are perceived negatively. They are wretched people who are like beasts (Surah 8:55), cursed by Allah (Surah 2:88), are hardhearted (Surah 39:22), unjust (Surah 29:49), and the worst of creatures (Surah 98:6). Perhaps this is why it is permissible in Islam to lie to non-Muslims. In fact, the Quran teaches that Muslims are to subjugate all non-Muslims under a totalitarian, Muslim run governmental system.  In addition, unlike the God of Christianity (John 3:16; Matt. 5:43-48), Allah does not love all people (Surah 3:32).  Therefore, many Muslims likewise hate non-Mulims as is evidenced by Surah 5:51 which says not to take Christians and Jews as friends.  Nevertheless, in Islam, unbelievers are described in the following way.
    1. Apes
      1. Surah 2:65, “And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: “Be ye apes, despised and rejected.”
      2. Surah 5:60, Say: “Shall I point out to you something much worse than this, (as judged) by the treatment it received from Allah. Those who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those of whom some He transformed into apes and swine, those who worshipped evil – these are (many times) worse in rank, and far more astray from the even path!”
      3. Surah 7:166, “When in their insolence they transgressed (all) prohibitions, We said to them: “Be ye apes, despised and rejected.”
    2. Asses
      1. Surah 74:48-50, “Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 49 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?— 50 As if they were affrighted asses.
    3. Beasts
      1. Surah 8:55, “For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are those who reject Him: They will not believe.”
    4. Blasphemers
      1. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.”
    5. Cannot be heir of Muslim
      1. Narrated Usama bin Zaid: the Prophet said, “A Muslim cannot be the heir of a disbeliever, nor can a disbeliever be the heir of a Muslim.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #80, Hadith #756)
    6. Condemned for not worshipping Allah
      1. Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah’s Prophet used to say, “A disbeliever will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked. “Suppose you had as much gold as to fill the earth, would you offer it to ransom yourself?” He will reply, “Yes.” Then it will be said to him, “You were asked for something easier than that (to join none in worship with Allah (i.e. to accept Islam, but you refused).”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #76, Hadith #546)
    7. Confused
      1. Surah 50:5, “But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state.”
    8. Cursed by Allah
      1. Surah 2:88, “They say, “Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah’s Word: we need no more).” Nay, Allah’s curse is on them for their blasphemy: Little is it they believe.”
      2. Surah 48:6, “And that He may punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Polytheists men and women, who imagine an evil opinion of Allah. On them is a round of Evil: the Wrath of Allah is on them: He has cursed them and got Hell ready for them: and evil is it for a destination.”
    9. Deaf, Dumb, and Blind
      1. Surah 2:171, “The parable of those who reject Faith is as if one were to shout Like a goat-herd, to things that listen to nothing but calls and cries: Deaf, dumb, and blind, they are void of wisdom.”
    10. Destruction awaits them
      1. Surah 47:10, “Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? Allah brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject Allah.
    11. Disease in their hearts
      1. Surah 5:52, “Those in whose hearts is a disease – thou seest how eagerly they run about amongst them, saying: “We do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster.” Ah! Perhaps Allah will give (thee) victory, or a decision according to His will. Then will they repent of the thoughts which they secretly harboured in their hearts.”
      2. Surah 24:50, “Is it that there is a disease in their hearts? Or do they doubt, or are they in fear, that Allah and His Apostle will deal unjustly with them? Nay, it is they themselves who do wrong.”
    12. Follow vanities
      1. Surah 47:3, “This because those who reject Allah follow vanities, while those who believe follow the Truth from their Lord: Thus does Allah set forth for men their lessons by similitudes.”
    13. Forgotten by Allah
      1. Surah 32:14, “Taste ye then – for ye forgot the Meeting of this Day of yours, and We too will forget you – taste ye the Penalty of Eternity for your (evil) deeds!”
    14. Hardhearted
      1. Surah 39:22, “Is one whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so that he has received Enlightenment from Allah, (no better than one hard-hearted)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against celebrating the praises of Allah! They are manifestly wandering (in error)!”
    15. Impure
      1. Surah 8:37, “In order that Allah may separate the impure from the pure, put the impure, one on another, heap them together, and cast them into Hell. They will be the ones to have lost.”
    16. Killing an unbeliever
      1. “…No the law that no Muslim should be killed in Qisas (equality in punishment) for the killing of (a disbeliever).  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #3, Hadith #111)
    17. Lied against thier Lord
      1. “…As for the others, or the disbelievers, it will be announced publicly before the witnesses: ‘These are ones who lied against their Lord.”  (Sahih Bukhari, Book #60, Hadith #207)
    18. Loved not by Allah
      1. Surah 3:32, “Say: “Obey Allah and His Apostle”: But if they turn back, Allah loveth not those who reject Faith.”
      2. Surah 22:38, “Verily Allah will defend (from ill) those who believe: verily, Allah loveth not any that is a traitor to faith, or show ingratitude.”
    19. Rebellious and wicked
      1. Surah 9:8, “How (can there be such a league), seeing that if they get an advantage over you, they respect not in you the ties either of kinship or of covenant? With (fair words from) their mouths they entice you, but their hearts are averse from you; and most of them are rebellious and wicked.”
    20. Spread mischief
      1. Surah 16:88, “Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah—for them will We add Penalty to Penalty; for that they used to spread mischief.”
    21. Unjust
      1. Surah 29:49, “Nay, here are Signs self-evident in the hearts of those endowed with knowledge: and none but the unjust reject Our Signs.”
    22. Works bear no fruit
      1. Surah 2:117, “They ask thee concerning fighting in the Prohibited Month. Say: “Fighting therein is a grave (offense); but graver is it in the sight of Allah to prevent access to the path of Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, and drive out its members.” Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter. Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of you Turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein.”
    23. Worst of creatures
      1. Surah 98:6, “Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.”
