Tradwives are heterosexual women who prefer the traditional roles where men work outside the home, and they work inside the home, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry,  etc. But, tradwives (trad girls) also promote their values on social media platforms and express their joy of being mothers, wives, and homemakers. They talk about having more time with their families and not having to drop kids off at schools or day-care centers while they go to a job. They like the security of the different roles found in husband-wife relationships. Sometimes they speak against LGBTQ, feminism, abortion, and socialist-woke ideology.

In a world where traditional values are trampled underfoot and redefinitions of everything under the sun are prevalent, the rise of tradwives stands in stark contrast. It is like an oasis in the shifting sands of a moral desert. Considering the destruction of our culture’s values into the permissibility of transsexuality, the sexualizing of children, the brainwashing of kids in schools towards leftist ideology, gender confusion, the rise of crime, etc., a focus on traditional values makes sense. I applaud the tradwife movement.

Criticism of Tradwives

Criticism of tradwives from the liberal left comes from those who prefer feminist ideology over traditional values. They decry tradwives as “toxic femininity” “subservient” “a fringe subculture,” etc. Some even associate the movement with ultraright conservativism and white extremism. Wow. So much for the freedom to be what you want.

But isn’t a leftist ideology, i.e., feminism, supposed to support a woman’s “right to choose,” whatever that choice would be? Didn’t they ‘set women free from toxic masculinity and patriarchy’ to give them a choice of what to do with their lives? Or did the leftists forget that? What is it about tradwives that wrinkle feminist pantsuits?  Are they threatened by the joy that some women experience in their traditional roles where they take care of children – an extremely important job!?  Or maybe they don’t like the idea of a woman being in the home, shopping, and providing meals for their families when they “should” be demanding equality in the workforce, in politics, and showing men how it’s done! Then again, maybe the leftist feminists hate traditional values and want to redefine society, sexuality, and the family while resisting ‘white supremacy,’ ‘white privilege,’ ‘toxic masculinity” and all the other windmills that need to be slain.  Oh, wait…that is exactly what they are doing – and dragging society down with them. The hypocrisy of the left is obvious.

In my opinion, if a woman wants to be a traditional wife, then more power to her. It would be an improvement for women to be able to make their own choices without other women criticizing them for those values.
